NOTE: If you have a hard time hearing over the music, try unplugging your headphones and watch without them. I am aware the music is too loud, and I have 100% fixed this in my newer videos, but this was an early video and I was still learning to edit. I apologize for the problem though, and you can be sure this won't happen in any of my newer videos! Thanks for watching!

First of all I am so glad I found your channel! Hearing a fellow southerner doing these plant videos is so refreshing! I'm from wv and I'm kind of shy about my accent on my videos lol second I got my first agave yesterday so thank you for the info!!! ☺️💚🌵

Bought my house 2 years ago here in Southern Oregon. Recently went on a 2 week trip to Yellowstone. When my wife and I returned, we discovered our "aloe" plant was sprouting a stem over 10 feet tall and of course we discovered it was in fact a Parry's Agave. It has since become a town spectacle and has beautiful blood red buds all over. Unfortunately we don't have a green thumb or the knowledge of what to do next or how or when to trim pups?... and help multiply and care for it.

I live in Kentucky too, and I have a small agave with stripes. I love it, now I need a bigger apartment for my plants.

Hi Justin, if you can grow an Agave Perryi in Kentucky, then I can grow one in Texas! Thanks for the encouragement! I've gone to Home Depot. OH, watch out for the Agave Snout Weevil. Once one gets into your plant it it O V E R.

Thanks for the run down. I live in southeast Texas (swamp) and I'm trying to see how a Parryi would do outdoors. This was helpful.

I think as long as your soil if fairly dry it should prosper agaves are fairly Hardy however they don’t like damp soil

Check Meijer. I just found a beautiful young variegated agave there. I only got it about a week ago too. You would think the dead of winter succulents wouldn't be shipped but we got some here in Northern Kentucky. It was pretty too!

A complete encyclopedia about Agave Parryi, really very helpful. So if you live in an area where you get inches of rain, how do you plant this outdoor !? What type of soil you need to put and how to prepare the site for planting ?Thanks

I'm new to the plant world and have two mangaves, a Pineapple Express and a Toothfairy. Boo and Sully are by far my faves but Boo (the toothfairy) has given me the biggest trouble. Pretty sure it was root rot and my novice pruning definitely became unsightly buy thanks to my grow light everyone's still alive.

I love tooth fairy, I love its beautiful contrasting spikes with the color. Yeah I've learned to try and be pretty conservative when it comes to water with them. Some can take a little more but most can do without a bunch. That pineapple express looks pretty too. I might have to get me one of those! Let me know if you have any questions at all! Plant Prudently!
