Great Video! Was in the Palawan Philippines a few years ago and the clams we saw snorkeling was amazing. Hope Philippines can also start aquaculturing the Tridacnas.

Thank you for the informative video, good to see some coverage on clams. Previously I had to refer back to James Fatherree or Daniel Knop material 👍🏼

Is it ok to take larger ones, say a 9 inch Maxima I have, out of the water occasionally to check for parasites and to scrub the flutes? I did once and it didn’t seem to mind, but I am hesitant to.

Pacific East Aquaculture wow! Thanks for the fast late night reply. That being said, I want one of your clams. They are all beautiful. Now I’m just wondering about the fact that they are wild caught. Maybe we can make a deal 🧐😁

@@kstu8560 Years ago I started a clam farm in the French Polynesia and we imported wild collected clams from there for several years until the farm started producing cultured clams. The quality of the collection deteriorated and I stopped bringing in the wild collected. Fast forward to today, we started importing wild collected and cultued clams from Tonga and thus far we have had zero problems. So, I need to revise my remarks regarding wild collected.

Pacific East Aquaculture I tried to order one, the stuck30 promo code wouldn’t work. Guess I’ll try another time. Thanks.
