I happen to have a yellow Minior myself. Vredefort (that's their nickname) is a bit bigger than average, and seems to quite like testing their strength against other Pokémon... more often then not by using... Explosion. They also sometimes Smash their Shell on purpose for a while. We're not really sure why they do this so often but they seem to be having fun, so perhaps they enjoy living life on the edge? Another important thing to note is that Minior will fade and perish if it's shell is shattered for too long. Try as they might, they are unable to return to their natural habitat after falling down, so it's very important to catch them if you see them flying around without a shell! We don't let Vredefort fly around without theirs for anymore than an hour sonce we're not actually sure how long it takes for this to happen. Another interesting thing I've come across from various trainers is that the black color variant isn't actually a variant at all. This appears to actually be the Pokémon's rare "shiny" coloration, and its core is actually one of the 7 other colors within. It's near impossible to tell what color is really inside by looking at it, but the PC system seems to have no trouble at all identifying Minior's true color. With as rare as Minior is, rarer still its shiny colors, you're very lucky to get footage of one!

I actually care for a rare black Minior that has been nicknamed "Void." I had no idea that my dear Void was so special 😊💕 Void is surprisingly serious, considering how much they love to run around. Fun fact: it’s theorized by some researchers that Minior could survive underground under specific conditions, though it’s all speculation. Some Safari Zones and other such preservation centers have actually begun looking into this due to the fragile nature of Miniors without their shell.

@danhatter6823
@danhatter6823 28 минут бұрын
@ Part of the reason it’s so difficult, especially so since Minior are common prey Pokémon, and their only real survival instinct when being hunted is to fall from the atmosphere. Which, of course, isn’t possible while already underground. It’s theorized because of this (among other factors) that Minior don’t actually have a consciousness.

Maybe a guide about Dhelmise. This lovely pokemon really has a hard to read behaviour given its nature of ghost algae possessing ship parts. It's really not helped by the pareidolic "face" with a constant satisfied and devious toothy grin that most trainers stop to. Even when a trainer successfully interprets their Dhelmise's behaviour to infer how it feels, it's still hard to know what to do when it's not feeling nice given its bizarre nature which has next to nothing human-like about it. Also, not even mentioning the complications and potential danger that having a 3m-tall and multiple tons-heavy (the pokedex lies about mass, you can't convince me otherwise) living rusty anchor. As a Dhelmise expert and responsible Dhelmise-trainer, I know it's worth it, but still one of the hardest creature to take care of that I know.

I'm no Dhelmise expert, but I've often wondered if they don't appreciate being restored? You know how some people will take ancient artifacts - swords, tools, shields, that sort of thing - and clean them until they're as good as the day they were first made? I wonder if maybe Dhelmise wouldn't like that. Maybe it's like a spa treatment for them? Or perhaps it could encourage their growth, given how rust can often lead to toxic chemicals leaking into the environment? Like I said, not an expert, just a bunch of curious hypothesises
@jayce1850
@jayce1850 Сағат бұрын
@@BagelBiteStudios I think it depends on how updated the programming of your pokedex is, and what you'd grown used to. IIRC back when there were only average chain lengths being found on average sized Dhelmise it used to be included but now that we've discovered longer and shorter outliers on all sizes of Dhelmise, proving that it wasn't based on the size of the body, it's body length only. If he's using or used to an outdated software, he might have innaccurate numbers or a false recollection of what the height means.

This is such a lovely series! It’s amazing to see some lesser known Pokémon get the spotlight. You always get trainers who are woefully underprepared for these kinds of ‘Mons hopefully this series can better educate young trainers. I will add that Minior are also extremely sensitive to water, and it is unwise to give them baths as it can damage their shell. If your Minior gets dirty, you should instead use a soft cloth and gently wipe away the dirt. And for the love of Arceus. *Do not let your Minior wander around unsupervised.* I know that it’s tempting, I know you think it’s a good idea to let them fly around, I get it, they’re flying type ‘Mons and that type usually needs some freedom. But there are so many hazards in our sky that they simply aren’t used to. I have *seen* Minior get their shells shattered because they flew directly into a flock of other Pokémon or hit a random tree. There are much safer ways to make sure your Minior is getting the proper enrichment, like taking them to an open field with a harness and leash. And if you can’t take trips that often, then set up an area of your backyard with a mesh covering and toys and let your Minior loose in there. I am getting sick of people bringing their Miniors into the lab with busted shells because they didn’t know how to properly care for them. Sincerely - a Pokémon professor in training.

Hi! Any tips on how to help a Wimpod feel more comfortable when I have guests over? Whenever someone who doesn’t live here comes to visit, Gelva skitters away to hide in the bathtub until they’ve left. At the very least I’ve figured out that if I fill the tub with water she’ll stop shaking and usually doze off, but getting her to leave is a bit of a hassle (I usually have to gently drop a little snack into the water to wake her up). I obviously don’t want to take away her watery refuge, but is there a good way to reassure her that I wouldn’t let anyone dangerous in the house? One option I’ve considered is getting another Pokémon to help her feel safe and calm, but that raises the question of what Pokémon would be the best option for that role.
@MinecraftDood02
@MinecraftDood02 13 сағат бұрын
It seems your Wimpod has quite the anxiety. Although this is common for Wimpods due to their small size and weak selves, it seems yours has overwhelming anxiety. I think deep down, your Wimpod knows how well you take care of it, and that you would never intentionally put it in harms way. It's most likely its fight or flight response triggering. But, that just means it knows how to protect itself! Another Pokémon (I think) would definitely help increase its confidence. Although, introduce them too swiftly, and Wimpod might think its territory is being taken, so Wimpod would probably get along with another bug type. My suggestion would be Dewpider. Wimpod and Dewpider are very similar Pokémon, so they would naturally get along well. Make sure to introduce them gently though (possibly lots of treats for both of them!) I hope your Wimpod does well, and that this advice helps!

@noneofyourbuisness1679

I'm no expert on Wimpod, but I'm wondering if it would be possible to get something from the guest sent to you ahead of time - say a week, perhaps - and just let it sit it around for a while. Sort of introduce their scent to the environment. That way you Wimpod can have a period of adjustment to what should be completely harmless stimuli and be more prepared when your guest arrives. It will undoubtedly be a pain when you first start out, but I'm theorizing that once they're accustomed to a certain scent, they'll be less inclined to scuttle away to safety. As for another Pokemon, I would suggest one of a typing that sort of acts as a shield for them. For instance, an Ice type - such as a Snorunt or Alolan Vulpix - would make them feel safe from Flying types that think might want to harm them. This in turn might give them the chance to build some courage and stand up for someone else, as their Bug/Water typing would them an ideal counter for Fighting and Steel types. Of course, I recommend trying to acclimate your Wimpod to the idea first, perhaps through a similar method to the one I mentioned above - a means of slowly and safely exposing them to something new while giving the opportunity to back away when they feel too overwhelmed.

Though I've never had something like that myself 3: look at what they eat in nature and work from their. Let's take Aron for example. I have to get a iron ore for him to strengthen his armor, general minerals like you and I for the shine of his armor and they also eat vegetables that grow on and in the mountains they life in so like mushrooms, moss, grasses and stuff like that so I'd say general vegetables but also not to much water or that might hurt his armor so vegetables without to much water. But for a lot of pokemon there are general feeds which work pretty well. (Eeveefed for eeveelutions aside from the Flareon diet in my opinion but that's me)

Let me additionally cite further sources. The head of Hokulani Observatory on Ula'Ula Island, Molayne, has shared that Minior that fall from space and retain their shells should, under no circumstances, have these shells removed by force as the trapped gases have rose to obscene pressures and would sauce a massive explosion. These gases slowly expel as Minior sheds. Inside of a Pokéball or a sterile environment a Minior does re grow its shell, but due to the different composition because of the difference in environment, these shells do not have the pent up natural gases needed for massive explosions to take place, nor do they make Minior heavy enough to stop them from floating. This has led some trainers to attempt using Minior in Pokémon battles, which lead to the discovery of "Shields Down" and unique battle properties of Minior. However scarce, such usage of Minior is still under investigation, as only few trainers are willing to battle using this Pokémon. Luckily upon defeat the Minior is returned to its Pokeball, so it may re grow its shell in peace.

So thankful I found your channel! I've got a bit of a problem myself. Long story short, my daughter, Katie, loves Fossil Pokemon and got herself a Tyrunt. A while back, I promised that if she ever found a fossil, we'd go get it revived and she could keep whatever it was that she found. I didn't think she'd find one, or at least, not until she was much older, but a promise is a promise. I just didn't know what I was getting myself into - the dang thing won't stop chewing on everything! It's bitten off all the legs on my favorite chair, nearly took down the front porch, and completely ruined all of my tractor tires, and I'm pretty sure it's working its way through the tree in our front yard as I type this. I'll be honest, I've taken a look at some of the books Katie has and I'm scared of what this thing might do when it evolves. We run a Tauros and Miltank ranch out in the sticks, so I'm not too worried about the neighbors getting involved. But I can't have this thing chewing up and spitting out our entire livelihood - and the last thing I want to do is disappoint my daughter by telling her she has to give away her new best friend. Is there any way to control our Tyrunt's biting? Or at least, a reason as to why it keeps chewing on everything? Maybe some way to calm it down a little?

@@Alegriacaptions About eight. Her birthday's coming up next month, so she's got about another year before she can legally go out on a "Pokemon Journey". She's had plenty of experience with the Tauros and Miltank on our ranch, but I think a Tyrunt might be a bit out of her wheelhouse. It'd be one thing if she had found one of those Helix Pokemon the kids are all worshipping these days, but this thing looks like it might take her arm off if it sneezed - and that's *before* it evolves!

Also about your situation with Tyrunt... hmmmmmm, I mean I am not a genie or even a trainer, but maybe some toys can do the trick? Or atleast try to educate the Tyrunt so he just goes around bitting your house down, but I dont know much about taking care of pokemons, even thought I am right now taking care of a stray Litten.

@@guilhermemartinezpokedex4659 I think it's some kind of internet fad that's gotten out of control. Like, it hasn't reached the level of Team Rocket, but it's definitely taken on a life of its own, you know? As for our Tyrunt, I'm more concerned what could even stand up to those jaws, much less repeated chewing sessions. This Pokemon's made short work of treated wood and tractor tires like they were made of butter. Pretty much the only thing that's last longer than fifteen minutes is that tree I mentioned, and I'm pretty sure it's gonna come down within the next hour or so. If this is what it's like *now*, I can't imagine what could have stood up to it all those millions of years ago

@SalamanderMoon

I'd also love to see care tips for Litwick! My Lampent, Charlie, has been doing great so far -- but I'm sure there's always more I can learn. It's rare to find proper advice for Ghost-type care too, since there's so much stigma around 'em. As tips from a fellow Litwick line owner, though: - It's **so important** to feed them an appropriate Ghost-type diet. Most of Charlie's diet is fresh bones from our local butcher every day; we show up first thing in the morning. (She absorbs the leftover vital energy from the butchering process, which is why it's gotta be fresh.) This part's a little daunting if 'ya didn't grow up with exposure to Ghost Pokémon, but you'll get used to it. The rest of their diet should be appropriate for a Fire-type; you can buy Fire chow at Pokémarts, just follow the instructions to heat and serve it. - You'll want to ensure your Litwick has a structured routine with a clear feeding time vs. socialization time, so they don't try to hunt/absorb other folks' life energy when y'all are out and about. Litwick and their evolutions are only dangerous if they aren't being properly fed, or don't know when or on what it's appropriate to feed on. A routine helps teach 'em all that! - Regular socialization with other people and Pokémon is ideal for Litwick, since they wanna be surrounded by life energy. Charlie is suuuper extroverted, but even introverted Litwick will enjoy sitting with you in a coffee shop or park. Lampent and Chandelure will prefer more one-on-one time and exploring abandoned or quiet places. - They aren't _fully_ nocturnal, unlike some other Ghost-types, but they still prefer dark places. Make sure they have a safe, dark room to hang out in at home! (Not a closet though, unless 'ya like singed clothing, haha. :') ) - They're Fire type too, so they don't like rainy weather and it'll hurt 'em if they get too wet. Always keep an eye on the forecast. If they need a bath, use a gentle, damp washcloth and then dry them off fully (Lampent and Chandelure also benefit from a bit of metal and glass polish.) Good luck with your Litwick! Caring for Ghost types is difficult, but it's so rewarding. They can be super caring and loyal Pokémon. Ghost types are the best :) - Dante and Charlie

Oh, I haven't seen a Minior before irl even though I lived in Alola for years. Not that I would like to have one though as my Alolan Persian is quite the territorial one, he lives with my Krokorok and Pancham. With Krokorok, he adapted finely because we had her before he was adopted as a Meowth, but when we bought Pancham home when he was ousted from his group it was pure anarchy in the house and I had to separate them for MONTHS and even now fights may happen. If anyone has any tips on how to quell my Persian it would be much appreciated! Even as a dark-type specialist, I still can't get his behavior under control :(

I dont have a Minior myself but this sure was a cool video to watch! Althought theres something weird happening recently... Like I am having a feel that something is in my shadow and in my dreams I see like a little humanoid-shadowy pokemon, and he just looks at me with that glowing red eyes, it quite creepy! My older sister Meowstic keeps sensing something off on me and keeps a distance form me(even thought he grew a bit attatched to me too) and a friend of mine Eevee just keep sniffing in my shadow area. I talked about my mother about this and she sayed that she knew what that pokemon I saw might be and grabbed a book of her named "Origin of Marshadow". It was a book talking about the same pokemon I saw in my dreams! My mother sayed that its true origin is quite mysterious, but one thing was sure between it two possible origins, Marshadow was first a human boy at the same age as me(14 years old) and he was extremily talented as a martial artist, one day, he died, in the Johto version it was sayed he died in the incident with the Brass Towers where supossedly the 3 legendary dog was born, with him being reborn as Marshadow by Ho-Oh. And the other version say he died in a accident in Unova trying to protect a loved one, and its sheer will and strenght brought him back as Marshadow but couldnt save his beloved. Well, just wanted to share this definetelly weird thing that is happening with me, if you can help me with anything I would love!(but also we are seeing a psychic to come here in our house to see if we can talk properly with Marshadow... or atleast know what is happening with me)

Love the citations. More of a water type specialist myself, but I feel like learning about other types is good to build a foundation of knowledge. As someone from Hoenn I feel Corphish could make a good video subject, as an invasive species you often find them demonized, and as Crawdaunt they are definitely aggressive/territorial, but it's not their fault people imported them as pets and then tossed them out. I'd like to take a Corphish in but want to make sure not to repeat the mistakes that made them an invasive species pretty much everywhere.

Minior are not normally able to breed, but in the rare case a baby Minior is found, its core color is passed down through its parents. This is an especially hard trait to notice if the baby is shiny however. Luma, my little shiny Minior was troublesome to match core color, even after seeing its core. Seemingly, Minior can choose to rebuild their shell out of loose stones in a pinch, but they can be picky, and often rather wait to generate a new one over time themselves.

We've recently come across a bat Pokémon that we're not too familiar with. It's not native to our area, and my Pokédex refuses to bring up any useful information (We will be looking into any potential system updates required). It's a rather pale-purple Pokémon with dark tufts of fur and striking yellow eyes. Is there any advice on what to do to properly care for this Pokémon? And-- why does it keep screaming at the berries we offer it? It's very loud. We hope this finds you well! 🪴 [UPDATE]: We have quelled it for now with a radio we've placed into it's enclosure. It seems to like the classical music station.
