I teared up watching this. It's so cliché to say this, but you hear so much bad news in the media on a daily basis. Then, you hear heart-warming stories like this that makes you believe in the beauty of the human spirit again. Thank you Dwight and co for everything that you do for these kids! Thank you Pai for bringing us an in-depth look at what kind of services this wonderful org provides. This really inspires me to do something in my community.

I loved this episode! Food is one of the most enjoyable aspects of life to me. It is just so sad that people do not have enough access to proper nutritious food which, over time, may encourage that person to have negative feelings about food due to their lack of it. Everyone should have the chance to enjoy food and not worry about when their next meal is. We truly take these things for granted. Dwight, you have really opened my eyes. I wish I could do more to help, but should the opportunity arise, I will gladly take it. You're a great person, keep helping these wonderful kids. Have a wonderful day! Also, I have seen you on Mark Wien's channel right? ;)

Bangkok Fatty You are very welcome. I am so glad there are people who care that are capable of actually changing things for the better. People who not only see an issue and feel the want to help, but who actually get up, determined to make a difference. In other words, people like you. Food shows so much about a culture and it's history. I completely agree. :) Have a great day!

As you are inThailand please tell about the rice types. It seems to be kept like a huge secret as nobody explained how to choose rice. When you come to the market how do you choose - is it a brand? As I understand it is a matter of place so there is no any recommendation or general rule to apply when choosing rice.
@PailinsKitchen8 жыл бұрын
+Oleg Teplyakov Yah...it all depends what you're using it for. If you just want to make steamed rice, just get jasmine rice, old crop if you like firmer grains, new crop if you like softer.
@OlegTeplyakov8 жыл бұрын
+Pailin's Kitchen that is interesting Thank you, I ll try to find the old rice. How do I know when seeing the grain that it is new? You may not answer as I ll try to digg the internet
@tonydebua8 жыл бұрын
and If you want to make Thai fried rice, just use old rice named "Sao-Hai", it is suitable more than Jasmine Rice (for Thai fried rice recipe only).
@OlegTeplyakov8 жыл бұрын
thank you I will try to use your recomendation here in Russia where I am now. Here we have lots of rice types and people know almost nothing about rice - mostly - round and long :)
@tonydebua8 жыл бұрын
+Oleg Teplyakov You're welcome. I'm Thai. we have many type of rice. but we eat only 3 rices oftenly. 1. Jasmine Rice ... is the best rice to eat with any food and curry. It's good in both of Steamed Rice and Boiled Rice. 2. Sao-Hai Old Rice ... is suitable for make Fried Rice. because if you use Jasmine Rice, it's too moisture. Good Thai fried Rice just dry. but if you cannot find Sao-Hai Rice, you can use old Jasmine rice. 3. Sticky Rice ... is famous rice that work with North and Northeastern Thai Food. but it isn't compatible with curry.
