This episode was one of the best SVU episodes in YEARS. Peter Scanavino is an amazing actor, as are the actresses who portrayed the other hostages.

This is a rehash of the townhouse incident episode where benson gets taken hostage by house robbers while doing a wellness check. The daughter is SA while the gf of the robber, benson, and the little boy are in the next room. The guy tries getting away but benson pins him down to be shot by snipers. I am very worried about carisi because he can get shook up by hostage situations as we have seen in other episodes when he was a cop. It makes sense since he is not a cop but a father and lawyer. What i find annoying about svu is that olivia seems to be the only one getting therapy sessions (mariska gets paid for screen time). When cragen was around, he mandated psych evals for everyone to the point where elliot would avoid them but would still go. Tamin was shook up by henry and just left. Carisi is not a cop but olivia is not the only one with mental baggage!
@Toedeledokie77Ай бұрын
Yeah this was the exact same situation as the Townhouse episode. Were the family was held hostage and the daughter got raped in the next room. Liv and the little brother we’re forced to listen. I assume that Carisi will get PTSS in the next episodes but he has a wife who knows all about trauma so he isn’t alone. Maybe he feels guilty now but this shouldn’t effects his life for a long time

@Toedeledokie77 There are many disturbing real life cases where they do SA someone in a hostage situation, and SVU does base stories from real life events so maybe it’s based of a true crime.
@gray-s7zАй бұрын
@@DanaScully1997 even so, sending the lawyers into unnecessary traumatic situations is not good writing. You could have made a case where the the hostage situation ended sooner and then carisi has the good robber work out a plea.
