Amanda Rollins her character is so well written. She doenst want to admit that she got raped. She thinks she deserved it because she put herself in a dangerous situation. But everything this personage does is because she got raped and never overcome it. How harder she screams she has no issues with it, it wasnt a big deal and that she has overcome it a long time ago, how harder she is begging for help. She doesnt want to be seen as a victim. She wants to be seen as strong, someone who can handle everything herself. But she is the classic victim who has all the signs of rape trauma and PTS. She is self destructive, gets drunk and gambling when she gets bad triggers, she hates herself, thinks she is not worth anything. She believes she is not worth it to deserve some happiness. She is promiscuous too; all things you see a lot after being raped. She doenst talk about it a lot but she is the perfect example of what can happen if you will not work and accept your traumas.

Some of these prominent pastors have been like that in real life: Ted Haggard, Eddie Long, Jimmy Swaggart, and Jim Bakker. This lawyer gave his current client the stink-eye look and must have said afterwards, “Hey, Reverend, get yourself another boy! I’m done!”

Munchy is a very boring karakter. Without backstory or character. Im glad she moved on. She came to replace Amanda Rollins but the writers forgot that she doesn’t have the history and chemistry that Rollins has with the cast. You cannot replace a character who has so much history. Im sure the writers didn’t know what to do with her. Same story for Kat. We don’t need all those new personalities. This squad doesn’t have any connection with eachother and Liv has nothing with any other female in the cast. The bonding Liv and Rollins share is very strong and special. You will not see that with Munchy or any new girl

Im so glad to see Rollins again. Its a good thing to let her leave for a year. She could get her baby in RL and the writers could think about what they could do with this personage. Amanda really grew up in SVU. She was a troubled girl with such a messy personality but now she is a respectable intelligent woman. I like the development of this personage very much. Its clear that Benson has no connection with the female squad members. Detective Kat and Munchy left after one season. We don’t have a bond with any of the newer members. Liv needs Rollins friendship in her life and we need stability and history in the cast.

This is the danger of DNA testing and DNA identification. For one thing it's not exact. And agency looking to close a case can use the wrong test and you could be on the hook for a crime you didn't commit WITH DNA evidence to back the charges up. Try proving your innocence with that. Most of us don't know what our cousins on the other side of the country get up to. And there are a whole bunch of courts that'll throw someone in the joint for 50 years on a partial DNA match and not even think twice about it. And just like your fingerprints, there is no expiration date. Once the government gets your DNA, you're pinned forever and your anonymity goes out the window. Oh, and all the DNA ancestry sites? Yeah, they DO NOT treat your DNA or their testing results as a 'medical record'. None of it is covered by HIPAA regulations. They treat it as 'work product' and will hand it to any agency that asks for it. And that's not even getting into finding out that one of your parents was eff'ing around on the other, cuz 'surprise!' My point here is that it isn't just credit card companies, store chains, and online sources that're selling your personal information, the government has a major investment in removing your privacy as well.

This was an interesting episode. For the first time we saw Amanda vulnerable. She always had built walls around her and for the first time those walls could not protect her anymore and we saw her in pain and distress. Amanda is always such an interesting personage. Except for Liv, Rollins has more twisted sides, development and history in her than any other personage. I am missing Rollins so much, the serie is not the same without her anymore. There is no chemistry with the current cast. I never watched a whole episode again since she left. Mostly I tried but its just too boring. I am glad that Rollinsi finally made it, after years and years of waiting but it was a big mistake to let such a important carackter go.

Actually i think this "infinity" is a deeply repressed homosexual who expresses his misogyny through violent sexual attacks on women & who fantasised a homoerotic connection to Ben Stone.

The way Amanda and Carisi look at each other is sooo sweet! That scene and Fin’s not-wedding! 😍😍😍 I’m just disappointed this montage didn’t include the scene where Carisi jumped onto the fire escape in China town and saved that girl! I love that he’s so emotionally and intellectually strong, but he did great being brawny and physically heroic too! Carisi is one of the best (and sexiest) characters on SVU!

In the criminal justice system, sexually based offenses are considered especially heinous. In New York City, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit. These are their stories.
