Was glad to come in and see this vid! That chassis is the same as my Rover just a longer wheelbase. I know what you mean about the drag brake. With the battery up front my Rover would do a nose stand in a heartbeat. lol. I have run my Rover on 2S exclusively with no motor issues btw. I see that the Brat has a standard beadlock setup not the weird wheels/tires my Rover came with. Looks like the stickers are the same style as my Rover. I had to strip the window stickers off and repaint. They bugged me. Ha. That Brat needs 2 big bugeye lights on the front bumper! FYI Carisma makes some upgraded steering knuckles that supposedly improves steering throw. I havent see them for sale in the US anywhere yet. A company called Hobby Recreation Products out of North Carolina (I think) has a fair amount of Carisma parts in stock. Can't wait to see this thing get Gerryized!

But of course they are out of the aluminum 🙄 but I was tinkering yesterday and I have a box of axial parts?? Iam gonna experiment today!! I got some detailing done yesterday so hopefully I will get done by this weekend. It's so nice to have a company come out with totally different vehicle body's, I love the brat looks!

Carisma is totally trying to break into the market. They are pushing the Coyote 2.1 hard on social media right now. I will be super interested in what your parts bin comes up with on the axles! You need to hook up with a 3D printer for the jump seats in the bed.

Hello Joel, In 1/10 scale the body is discontinued the chassis is still going. I have seen the body on ebay and amazon

@@gerrysoldguyreview I ordered the Gatekeeper kit and some Factory Team parts this morning. I'm gonna use that chassis I already have together. Definitely gonna get Beeftubes for it when I can, gotta get another set of wheels too. Can't wait to get started on it. Building one out is one of the things that I enjoy the most about this hobby.

It's a tough decision for me, the gatekeeper or the redcat wendigo. I really like the look of the wendigo over the gatekeeper, both have good reviews! Oh I know how you love the build up!!😆😆

@@gerrysoldguyreview I like the looks of the Wendigo kit version, it comes with the better axles. Just use your preference of electronics. From what I've seen on it, it's meant to be just a bit faster of a rock racer than what a "crawler" is meant to be. To me I think it's supposed to be more like the Ryft from Axial. I liked what I saw on Redcats website. Eventually I may try the IFS conversion kit for the Gatekeeper, where it doesn't have fenderwells to get in the way of tire choice or flex. But it's a kit that has alot of potential. I'll put the Magnum motor in the Trailwalker and put the Axe system in the Gatekeeper, the higher kv combo should enhance the fun of that rig.

Hey Gerry I have a good question for you, if someone took there rc machine apart for service which grease would you use in differentials and wherever else and would you use loctite on bolts and screws and what color and where would you use it

Well hello Mr woods! Iam old school sir, I still like wheel bearing grease! I use red right now since a tub lasts forever. I also like marine grease! But really grease by nature is waterproof. I use blue loctite, and only when a screw screws into metal. But I have used red when a screw goes into plastic if the hole gets wonky!
