I actually didn't want to move onto another shoe yet because I was having fun skating these shoes. It might just be because im having fun skating lately in general but either way I would have actually skated them longer. Im glad I gave them another try. the first pair that I skated was not as good as these for some reason. It had things I thought was okay but I didn't want to keep skating them the first Time.

michelin on the marana’s are only covering the middle and the toe cap, ppl overhype it and it didn’t last as long as i thought, the suede was pretty durable. For the joslin the michelin is covering the whole sole, the stitching didn’t last as long but the laces kinda ripped. Both of them have great insoles.

I am very impressed with these shoes. I’ve been skating them for about 5 sessions so far and they’re great! It took a couple of sessions to get used to the feel and flick. I must say it’s not a complete vulcanized shoe, in fact it’s a hybrid of vulcanized and a cup sole . I don’t jump down much these days but these shoes do take well to impact. The shoes could be a bit more durable as the triple stitching near the logo began to rip after only a few sessions but the shoe still holds up fine. It is a bit on the pricier side for a skate shoe but I think they’re worth it if you can afford it. I’ll buy one more pair just because I want another color way. Now as far as the logo. I like it; it’s simple stylish and quite original. Love watching these reviews bro. Keep killing it 🙌🏿👊🏿

Finally, a true designer comments on the logo. Christian's opinion on this matter is superior to any none designer/skater. That being said, whether you like it or not is subjective of course. I like the shape. I just think it does make the logo the focal point of your outfit, because it screams for attention, while it's not as minimalistic as a huge Nike check. Also, it's not as minimalistic as the 3 adidas stripes. So subjectively, it's still too complex for me to be aesthetically pleasing.

Hey I 've been skating Cariumas for almost two weeks and the rubber on the side completely disappeared in the flick area so I don't think it is worth it because they are pretty expensive and I definitely expected that they would last longer.. But they are pretty comfortable.

Same here, got me a pair of the catiba pros 4 weeks ago, may 6-7 sessions deep around 2-3 hours per session, the flicksection of the shoe is almost completly gone, and the soles are way to soft for my personal pref( in two sessions i will have a breaktrough down there), so far a good shoe and its really comfortable but if u are more in tech and flip tricks this shoe isnt the one for me, cause it wont last long..

The nike logo was hated when it first came out. How you feel about a logo mostly comes from what you associate with the logo. Because the logo is new, people feel weird about it, but graphically it is a solid logo and if the company continues to have success and people associate positive things with the logo, they will love it.

I’ve been skating these shoes for a month now. They are really comfortable and durable but I wouldn’t mind a bit of padding on the tongue and the sides because late flips (or impossible) kinda hurt if they are not well executed. Besides that, it’s a great shoe.

3 years later and cariuma is a case study on how not to enter skateboarding/sneaker scene. the shoe is decent, looks fine, materials are top notch, but it was marketed so poorly. i get that the core skater was not their target to begin with, but still, you can't just buy street cred. i've been around long enough to not care, and i like it as a casual shoe. and i'm with you on the logo, fuck that it's big. catiba is the only model where it is well incorporated in the design. they made it smaller on the other ones and they look like shit

I'm glad someone else liked the logo because I did too. I just wish it didn't take a month for the shoes to arrive to your doorstep even if you pay the additional shipping and handling. They try to reduce their carbon footprint by making fully stocked runs whenever they ship out their shoes, which is economically friendly yes. But if you don't have shoes in the meantime you're pretty much left without skating
