Take these into account: -Battered Police Cruiser. -All 6 windows obliterated. -Numerous bullet holes. -Civilian driving. -Grand Theft Auto. -Possible impersonation of an officer. -Fellow officer cuffed to car. -Potential assault of an officer. -Officer in apparent distress. -Speeding. -Reckless driving. -Potential felonious motor vehicle assault. Carl’s insistence that he condones the situation he is in would certainly fall on incredibly suspicious ears and both he and Alan would most likely be brought in for psychological analysis.

Thankfully, the events of this movie are eventually reversed, this all never happened & Carl is back in the show business, meaning that (assuming there actually was a traffic cop) Alan & Carl’s arrests would never happen. Besides, even if there were a traffic cop, I’m certain they would understand Carl & realize this is his former best friend whom he hasn’t seen in God knows how long. That, and this may be me generalizing, but cops tend to understand each other better than they understand criminals & civilians.

Since being wrongfully discharged from Parrish Shoes and becoming a police officer five years after when Alan was sucked into the board game, Carl Bentley in this position is always at the edge of misfortune. And while it's being progressively damaged, it was until Aunt Nora went to offer him to give her a ride home since she totaled her car in the ditch when a monkey decided to sneak in and distract her, but that a vine comes by to take his police car instead where he then gets out and where we now have two people during this cursed timeline devoid of their cars. What comes out of the game, that's to get Aunt Nora and Carl Bentley out of the players' cases for playing the game where everything released wreak havoc in Brantford and so that the aunt can stay out of Judy and Peter's business for ditching school.
