Thank you for posting this wonderful and valuable excerpt from "The Way of the Dream" series. Marion Woodman was my teacher and mentor and she was as authentic and brilliant and funny she appears in this clip. To expand on the background here,The Way of the Dream" is a 16 part series of interviews by Fraser Boa (Jungian analyst and beloved brother of Marion Woodman) with renowned Jungian analyst Marie Louise von Franz and include interviews with people about dreams. It was filmed in London and Toronto. Fraser Boa died in 1992. It was Marion's sacred project to have these video tapes edited and transferred to DVD format. Her appearance here to introduce the series was added for the DVD version. Unfortunately, the entire 16 part program has not been digitally made available yet. They are a valuable deep dive into the psychology of Dreams by one of the worlds experts. "The Way of the Dream" in print is available as a single volume. In gratitude..

Thank you for the upload. I get one needs to make money in this world but the amount of ads in this video was through the roof. I had to go back several times to ensure some sort of flow in the explanations.

Same, I was really confused by the ego part, as well as the role assigned to it in the clip. It does not make add up for me why in some religions ego has to die and that's exactly the right path, while here it plays a role of coordinator between conscious and unconscious (if I got it right)

It's been my experience that a mother can want a girl child in order to watch her suffer and somebody to torture vent on project on and be her friend and not grow up herself or get her own friends meanwhile you watch the brothers be treated like royalty royalty they do no wrong

It sounds like the mother may be projecting her own unresolved conflicts onto the daughter, a concept Jung explored. In these cases, the daughter can become a vessel for the mother’s unmet needs or shadow. Individuation-where both mother and daughter confront their own identities-is key to breaking this cycle.

Robert Moore discusses this in one of his lectures, where he equates the two. Flow as a high degree of co-operation with the Self, containing and channeling archetypal energy.

I found this vid. interesting and followed the explanation upto the point about our dreams carrying religious symbols and doctrines. I didn't buy that, because we are not all brought up that way, so that to me was a sweeping assumption. I will continue to watch more though.

As Jung told us, our Psyche is religious, and the source of all religions, in the sense that the religious-deep-intense symbols, that are present in all religions, are living in our psyche. In that sense - we must find our personal connection with this symbols, or else...
