Hi. Nice. I'm a big Carl Martin fan. Plexitone, AC Boost, Chorus XII, compressor.....I believe they said this is a germanium fuzz. Is there an issue using a buffer in front of it like some fuzzes? I assume you would want it to be the last pedal before your time based effects since it's both in one. Thanks.

Thanks for watching Rick Mylum! Yes I would definitely run last before my delays, I use the Carl Martin Echotone last in the chain. It's my favorite delay, basically because of the EQ control which I wind down to give a really fat analog delay sound. Have a marvelous time recording, many thanks Warren Huart

Produce Like A Pro Thanks for the reply. I guess I didn't make myself clear. Although I love direct bypass, I have a number of effects and fairly long cables so tone suck is an issue. A buffer solves that but old school fuzzes hate them and sound horrible with one in front; they want to see the impedance of the guitar pickups. My question is if the pedal is like that or if it can handle having a buffer in front of it. It's a fairly serious concern. Thanks.

Rick Mylum I see! Fantastic question, I do not have the answer to that question. I will pass on the question to Carl Martin and see if I can get you an answer. I have recently begun using Klotz cables and find the results amazing! I use really long cable runs that sound better than the shorter runs I use with other cables. Many thanks Warren Huart

@@Producelikeapro I guess I'm not being clear. It's not a before time based pedals issue - some of the old school fuzzes just sound terrible if they're not the first pedal on your board, or at a minimum there's no buffer in front of them. No worries. Take care.
