Ironically I very recently bought a SOUL BROTHERS OF KUNG FU sweatshirt. And was just hoping to see what The Brother looked like these days and ran into this gem. I honestly didn't recognize him until he smiled! Then I began to recognize his other features as well. What a delightful joy this interview was! I've watched his films so many times that I consider him my Soul Brother! Just yesterday I introduced his and my favorite films of his to a brother at work that was unaware of him. Brother Carl is still quite swift with his hands as well I see! Honor, respect, love, health and wealth to Sensei Carl Scott the iconic martial arts master! What a great person!✌🏽😎🤜🏽💥🤛🏿👑👍🏽✊🏾🙏🏽🙌🏾

Great interview, you asked some great questions. I'm 53yrs old, when i was your age I too watched these movies and was and still is a fan of the stars like Carl Scott, Lee, Kelly etc. I wish I would have asked him about working with Billy Chong, he's a great martial artist who made some great movies. Watching Carl Scott in his movies, I noticed the same things you noticed, how young he was and how he ended up making these movies over seas. I too not a fan of today's fight scenes with everything up close. lol. But I like your history knowledge on the subject. i wish you the best, train hard my young brotha, and take Scott's advice. Hope to see you in a Carl Scott production one day. Peace.

I would LOVE to see him work again! He's one of the best to ever do it and deserves the big time. I'd love to see what other skills he's perfected! He's really fantastic with weapons. It would trip people out! I get what he means by adjusting your moves once you get older though. Shoot man, I'm going on 63 and got arthritis in the knees and back and just can't move like that anymore. Still got my hands and hand quickness and upper body strength though. I'm also 327 pds lol but don't really look that big. You gotta move differently at that age and size. I hung out with Carl once back in Los Angeles for a few minutes but I don't think he remembers me. I'm Carvis the Wildmans nephew Jr. I remember he had these big aquariums and Oscar fish. How would I know that if I'd never met the man? He's met thousands of folks since then I'm sure so it ain't no thang. I wish him the best of luck and hopefully we will get to see this great Martial Artist do his magic again! He should have been every bit as big career wise as Norris or Van Damme or Kelly! Easily! It ain't too late!

Carl Scott is a great martial artist. But given the difference in his age and Bruce Lee's age its not likely that they would have done a fight to the death fight scene together. Maybe he would have played as Bruce's student like he did with Bruce Li in Soul Brothers.

I love Jim Kelly but the interviewer was right. Carl Scott is far more fluid and may be the best black martial artist and one of the best in general on film. He was so fluid in his movements in Sun Dragon. He literally flowed like water. I can see why Bruce Lee wanted to do a film with him. Unfortunately we never got to see hat. Such a collaboration would have put Carl Scott where he belonged. As a big time Hollywood player in the martial arts scene.

Wow The Grandmaster Carl Scott sadly to so many he's known as "the black guy" in Chinese martial arts films But as one of our 1st Black martial artist Carl puts Jim Kelly to shame after watching Black Belt Jones vs.Sun Dragon (that was renamed for Carl) with Carl Scott you see REAL Martial Arts skill & precision rivaling Bruce Lee but with Jim Kelly you just see a laughable joke It was Carl Scott's fierce fighting Kung Fu style that paved the way for recent Black Martial Artists Wesley Snipes & Michael Jai White Carl Scott should be honored as one our very best & amazing Martial Artists ever filmed With Sun Dragon having 40 million views that says it all
