14:09 I checked to see who won that first round. If you pause at the right time, during this second (the time stamp), you can see a star above Carl’s head, and not Juz’s. Sorry. Juz do better next time, but at least they gave it a tie from no video replay.

I died laughing watching this on the official GDQ YT channel, Juz. It was incredibly hilarious, and... *WOW*... that flagpole fake out reminded me of the custom SMW maps where programmers ACTUALLY had full control. Can't really say that tbh. If Juz had gotten the win on level 1 then final level would just be a 10 second difference and if Carl hadn't waited at the first goal post those 10 seconds wouldn't really have mattered. But honestly, who cares? I never considered this a race in the first place. I considered it a showcase. A showcase of a fairly unknown part of Mario Maker 2 on the big stage. And they did an amazing job with that :D So for me the "win" was the viewers as well as both players having the time of their lives and that is all that matters ^^
