Sorry but Richard Mille's are nowhere near their asking prices. It's like Rolex on steroids and meth. There are so many other brands I could name that would run circles over them for DAYS and won't even cost 1/4 of the RM. To name a few: Arnold&Son, A.Lange, Blancpain, Bovet, Breguet, Glashutte, H.Moser, Jaquet Droz, Laurent Ferrier, Louis Moinet, Romain Gauthier, Vacheron Constantin, even AP's. The fact that people are stupid enough to spend so much dough on a tasteless, vulgar, and overhyped product (that's even made out of plastic) speaks volumes about society these days... Just because a given celebrity wore it and it costs thi$$$ much, I need to have it to prove myself wealthy and worthy! If you have the money and willing to spend on an RM, good for you, but to the discerning eye, RM's will always be a classless, tasteless, overmarketed and overpriced toy watch.

I have some issues with this, not sure if it was an private collection, so you have to be a true passionate watch collector. But then I wonder where are $20 and $200 dollar watches? There are some incredibly great pieces for under $500. So then if you don't, it might be because you're investing in it. Well the watch market has been plummeting for at least 20%, so what is it? In my humble opinion if you aren't a watch collector and you aren't investing in watches, I can come up with 1000 business ideas to execute right now and put that 300 million to work. It will create jobs and opportunities which better the communities, and lives of many people. The ROI will be greater over time. Carl has his own Jacob&co custom watch. This is different, it symbolize his vision and succes. His Patek is just a beautiful watch, so apart from the utility aspect, there is the aspect of emotional value. I think you can have a 10 watch collection which are stunning, and it covers all aspects such as celebrating your first success, usually a Rolex, your dream watch, something very beautiful and some other pieces because you just like it. It could be worth tops 10 million. But a suitcase full of Richard Mille's, some are nice and special, but it's a hefty price tag, to buy the entire collection.. well for what? The only guy laughing is Richard Mille.

Because it’s an utility. Just like my car. I moved to live on a tropical island. What good is it to have a Lamborghini? You’ll be mostly in traffic and the potholes literally destroys your car after a couple hundred meters. But it does make sense to have a car. So I bought an old Range Rover. So when I need to pick up my mates or family members I can pick them up in relative comfort and the AC on and I like the car, could I get a brand new Range Rover? Sure but what for? To have more stress and worries? I have a villa without a pool. Because I don’t need a pool. I’m surfing 4 to 6 hours a day. Last thing I want is to jump in the pool. Is that being jealous for the people who has a pool? No it’s nonsense. There is a guy on the island with a brand new Lamborghini Aventador SV. It barely fits in a lane. He can’t park properly. And most of the time he just driving mostly 20 km/h. I’m faster on my bicycle on the island that he will ever be with all the traffic. I would love to get a Ferrari f12. But if I have one I truly want to drive it. Through the mountains of Switzerland and Italy. And floor it because I can. It to just parade with it to show off. The median wage is $350 USD why should I attract unnecessary attention with a Lamborghini and a 3 million dollar watch? It will be different if I were to live in Dubai. But I can’t be bothered to live there. Not everyone with money has the same priorities.
