Next day I came home from work to him yelling at me that he tried the butter and milk but it’s just not mashing….. he was trying to mash raw potato’s. We are no longer together.
@floraflowers3 жыл бұрын
@@Sneakysausge I also knew people who thought mashed potatoes were made by smashing boiled potatoes and adding salt, MAYBE some water. They were surprised to find out that you're supposed to add milk to the potatoes and that I also predominantly add sour cream for a little kick and a more creamy composition. Honestly, I blame instant mashed potatoes for this. I use them when I am too lazy and too impatient to wait for potatoes to boil but I always did them my way by adding milk and sour cream. One day I read the instructions and I saw they said to only add salt and hot water. That must taste very blad and I'm sorry for anyone who has eaten mashed potatoes like that.

@@soyothedanny don't wash raw meat. you're getting the meat hot enough to kill any bacteria living in the meat, you're definitely getting it hot enough to kill anything on the outside of the meat. if your meat is so nasty you can see filth on it, or its slimy or whatever, that meat wouldn't be safe to eat even if you washed and cooked it. rinsing off fruit or veg is fine because the surface isn't covered in bacteria that will get spread around by the water the usda is so annoyed by people washing meat they have many articles written to explain why its a bad idea, www.fsis.usda.gov/food-safety/safe-food-handling-and-preparation/food-safety-basics/washing-food-does-it-promote-food

@@garfoonga1no, actually it's not basic food safety. A basic internet search will tell you this is a totally unnecessary step and can lead to foodborne illness through cross-contamination. The noodles with sauce, I have a friend who made that thing 15 years ago, it was horrible, everything on the pantry went into that plate, he burned a whole roll of paper napkins, and he was so proud of it. This show may have set up parts, but damn people like this exist, and some are really charming when not being a fire hazard

Story time: One of my roommate bought 2 full chickens, because ''it was such a deal''. I asked her if she knew how to pull it apart. She didn't. She proceeded to cook one in the oven and stocked it on top of the Raw one. Idk if she ate it, Probably did. Fast forward a week & half later. I come home at 12h00pm there's the 2nd chicken cooked on a cooking tray. No one's home. Strange? I go out of my room and walk past the chicken it's 11h00 pm now. Chicken's still there, no one's home. The next day, I walk in the kitchen and she's like ''Oh you want some Club sandwitch?'' Yes, she was eating that dam chicken and stocked the rest of it in a plate whiteout anything to cover it in the fridge for a WEEK She ate it all. She's still alive. I'm Baffled.

Anybody else having a heart attack with every scene? Why are knife skills so hard to understand each season? It's more dangerous to cut with whatever substitute you feel is "safer". God bless you, Carla.
