So at this point he knows. In any case, it's a beautiful fish, we can leave it at that. Have a good evening 😊

I realize this is a bit late, but... I'm a handyman. I used to work in construction. You're carpentry skills, for the task you're doing, aren't bad! Give yourself some credit :) I chuckled about the siphon effect on your hose. Don't feel bad, I've been around a bit and, yea. I would likely have been out there having a WTF moment myself. I was puzzled myself, as I was thinking "But, unless they had some fastener going in the pond (and the're not that careless), how could it leak?"

Love this guys, more of the Koi pond please. Omi has real talent, I say that as a fellow artist who still loves to draw, despite most of my time being taken up with large oil paintings. Anyway art aside, love the larger pond idea, shows real love for the fish and hopefully will cause others to think about the fact that some captive fish species will outgrow their artificial environments. Sadly on youtube there are many examples of exotic fish species like Pacu and Arapaima proudly stuffed into aquariums that are way too small for them, you guys are therefore becoming expert aquarists!

Guys, I've said this before, but your combined talents are on another level. Those drawings Omi has done are incredible. The level of detail is right out of the Mr Crabtree books from my childhood. That film of the Barn Owl is as good footage as i've ever seen, even by professional wildlife cameramen/women. Stunningly filmed and edited. Wonderful pond build too. Many young adults of your age are just not interested in any of the traditional country pastimes, but you guys really are inspirational to the next generation of anglers and naturalists. You take me back to the great days of my youth, sitting by a river or lake with huge expectation, watching the dawn mist rise and the first rays of sun appear as the natural world awakes. Spending days out in the countryside watching the foxes, badgers, deer, buzzards. In these dark and uncertain times you have raised the morale of thousands. You deserve 10 million subscribers. How would I be able to send you his recent catches from are local Canal. There not Tradesmen , so there obviously just using the Tools that they’ve got to hand , it’s called a “ Combi Drill “ for a reason 1. Drilling Metal / Wood 2.Drilling Masonry and 3. Driving in Screws and Fixings using the Torque settings.

@@fishwithcarl to be honest the easy pod is very good on mechanical filtering but not so much biological when you add koi to a pond and definite big Koi ,if I was you I would 100% add a diy moving bed be for it returns back to the pond I could easy give you a few ideas that work very well and are also very cheap Possibly I could do you a little video or something? If you was to contact me on Facebook or my Instagram I could send you a video or something? Just a idea as the koi would definitely appreciate it long term

Awesome vidio and pond... some things to make sure you do. Because you used rainwater to fill your pind you will need to check water parameters and especially kh amount as rain water generally doesn't carry any. Also make sure you add fish gradually to allow the filtration time to mature (Because its cold the bacteria will take longer to colonise meaning your water quality is at risk if you add to many fish at once) Also make sure you don't have the pump sitting at the very bottom of the pond. This is because if you have a pipe leek it will only drain down to a certain level and not drain the whole pond... this should mean that is it happens your koi will still have say a foot of water rather than it being empty. You may already know this but thought I would share my thoughts. I highly recomend joining the UK koi Facebook group 👌

The book is a great idea. We need more recruits to the angling life. The old classic publications are great but are from another time, and fishing is always moving forward.
