Here’s a wild guess. What if these craft are a mix of human and NHI looking for a dirty nuke? Both are aware it is out there and both are searching for it. What if the government has ties to these NHI but won’t admit it for the lack of transparency for over the past 100 years or more and they are working together jointly to find it before it gets detonated. What if both know its destination was NJ/NY area due to its large population.
