Studio Fortiche did work on this cinematic (I think they've been working with Riot on league cinematics for a while but can't remember for sure). One thing about this cinematic though is it isn't a trailer for the story following Arcane S2, but it's important to note that what happened in Arcane is canon to the lore of Runeterra (the universe League pulls champs from). So the next "season" of the League of Legends game is themed around Noxus and the story is picking up where Arcane ended most likely. That's not to say the next show in the animated universe might not center around Noxus (there's a very strong chance it will), but just that what we're seeing is mainly where the content for the next few months in the game is going to center around. It's probably been recommended a million times, but I also HIGHLY recommend Necrit's channel to get more context on everyone league lore!

Im gonna give a semi-quick run down about Trundle (and his fight with Darius) since i dont believe you've heard of him before. The character that Darius was fighting is named Trundle. He is also a champion and is the king of trolls. The weapon he wields is a club made of True Ice and was given to him by Lissandra (Another champion). Trundle is an Iceborn like a number of other champions from Freljord. Being an Iceborn means you are highly resistant to True Ice and its effects (not 100% immune, it can still be extremely painful to hold). True ice is a magical highly durable ice that never melts and corrupts what it touches. If a normal person were to touch it, they'd receive a highly painful immediate death. For example, If trundle were to directly bonk Darius with this True Ice club, Darius would immediately freeze and die. This is why when Darius's axe got corrupted, he winced in pain and dropped it. This is also why when Darius tried to pick up his corrupted axe to strike Trundle with, you can see the True Ice corruption work its way into his veins. This corrupted weapon (Not even a True Ice weapon, just a corrupted weapon) would kill most people. Darius is just him. Also another fun fact: This is a young version of Darius and Trundle. Modern day Darius is far bigger than in the cinematic.

Darius taking the bullet and grabbing the true ice infested Axe was crazy for lore fans. Most people would die on the spot of touching it with a finger. U can imagine how much it must have hurt for him to drop his weapon in the first place and rather go for a fist fight against a troll. Grabbing it for long enough to wack it in trundles face is craaazy. I wonder if this has permanently damaged his hand and if we see him in future shows or something they will hint at maybe a dead finger or rubbing his hand from time to time. Riot has changed quit a few backstories and designs for Arcane wouldnt suprise me if the might of noxus gets a "human" side.

No it wasn't, their fight is shown on the wall of shadows of Leblanc, while she is talking. And she mentions piltover. So basically it is happening either on the same time as mel arrives Noxus or just before she does.

Not in the past at all. They are younger than they are in the game but that's just where Arcane was in the timeline. Vi, Cait and Jayce are older in the game than they were in the show too.

Some comments are adamant that this isn’t a teaser for the next show, and while they’re technically right, it’s also highly likely that a few of the characters we saw here will be in the show. The final scene with Leblanc and Vladimir is almost certainly a teaser, at least.

While this trailer certainly gives us some idea about where they are going in the next series, its primary purpose is as part of the story first approach they are taking with LoL's seasonal content going forward. Just saying I wouldn't make any assumptions about what is coming for the show that is still years away base don what we see here. If anything I think this whole Noxus story line for the LoL season is a nice epilogue for Arcane. Mel is now a Champion, we got to meet the Fortiche (pronounced 'For-teesh') version of a bunch of champs. I am hyped for it whenever they get around to it.

Small fact : Darius is fighting Trundle, The Troll King if you count darius's armor this way in the cinematic - Shoulder x2 -Torso - Arm x2 - Leg x2 So darius has 7 piece of armor Trundle is removing both shoulder and torso armor 7-3 = 4 trundle removed 42.89% of darius armor in this cinematic In-Game, one of Trundle's ultimate effect is to remove 40% of the target's armor

A developer stated that the goal of this cinematic was to set up a storyline that’ll be explored in game this year (such as through comics). So this isn’t meant to tease a new show. We don’t know if the next show will be about Noxus. All we know is that Riot is exploring Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia for their next shows or movies.

Apparently this Bite marks 2025 cinematic chapter 1 is one of more than there are chapters in League of Legends so there will be cinematics for it. Plus we will see a new League comic soon and it seems to me that the Arcane Ambese Chosen of the Wolf book is still available in English and in february book will be public.

I'd react to Necrit's Black Rose lore video that reveals a lot about what's going on. He's the go to with league of legends lore. Also this is the 2025 Season 1 cinematic for the game. This is their way to tie the events of Arcane to the game. In game, 2025 will be split into 3 seasons, with this being season 1 cinematic, I believe we'll get two more cinematics that could, in the end, lead us into a new show.

Glad to see that many of the champions from our games really got stuck in your memories. 😉 Good picks overall. It is "just" a cinematic for the actual season in League though. So far we all think that Noxus will also be the next show ofc, but nothing is confirmed yet. Unfortunately not even that we will really get a show at all. They are working on different projects aiming in this direction, but unless they really announce the next show/film to come we can't be sure...

Truth to be told, we still don't know if the next animated series is gonna be Noxus, it's tied with Ionia and Demacia as the 3 biggest possibilities although is the most likely, but remember this is just season 1 of this year for league, season 2 and 3 supposedly are something completely different than Noxus. So it could be any of those 3, and Mel's presence is probably due to her becoming a champion.

Darius is still young in this cinematic Katarina and Elise have new skins and Mel in her visions fought with reanimated soldiers like Sion #Grey Legion Katarina has her new daggers from the Katarina comic where she had love at first sight with Garen which is a prequel to the Mageseeker RPG and a continuation of the Lux comic. Mel was in the same place where a pregnant young Ambessa fought in the Blood sweat and tears cinematic. i want to put this out there, people are saying this is about the next show from arcane. it isnt. riot has come out and said it isnt. riot is working on 3 new areas and noxus is one of them but from what they said it will not be this story. this video is a lore video just like the last few years and arcane is lore now. its also a skin trailer cause those skins you can now buy. its also about the current season also called welcome to noxus, and last the just dropped mel as a champ yesterday. so no this isnt about the next show. what story they do in noxus we have no idea but according to riot this is not it.
