Trash-talking is part of the culture of street-chess. The constant chatter to distract your opponent is a long-standing tradition going back a couple of centuries, and across at least two continents. To complain about it is to miss the entire point. You will notice that none of the GMs and IMs playing in these videos ever complain.

Carlini lost with knight to F1 at 8:27. He was up in material at that point, but that knight had no board presence in the previous turns. On that crucial move, he could have played knight to F3 and threatened the queen, play would have continued with the 15 yr. old being left with queen to E7 as his only acceptable move. Instead he was able to attack with his rook, and play queen to E7 next turn when Carlini withdrew his other knight to F3.

Curious and trying to pick up the game - at 10:14, why doesn't Carlini just use his Rook to take down the Rook threatening his King? Carlini's Rook would then be safe as the other guy can't risk moving his Queen to take it because that would leave his King open to Carlini's Queen.

His argument is that I can't win by taking his King because I'm in checkmate. He dumb right? lol. Although, it does raise an interesting question. Does this rule mean that you could take a Queen that had you in checkmate and was defended by another piece, by pretending not to notice it just to have one last turn and lose your King next move?
