When u see mark being nervous despite his calm personality u know carl gives him a great battle
@nikeswoosh75756 жыл бұрын
Dang! Been hoping Carlini is the first to beat this guy. Definitely the closest so far. This has been a great series on Coffee Chess. I'm glad you are sharing so many games.

But hasn’t the awesome ‘Brooklyn’ Dave beaten him in a game or two? I seem to recall Dave pulling it off in one or two videos...

I suspected Carlini plays much better without the banter.
@doc311765 жыл бұрын
Right, that becomes an indicator of how much he respects his opponents’ play. A lot of talk must mean he cares less about winning the game or he believes his opponent is weak enough it won’t matter. Trash talking is for kids and wwe wrestlers it’s rarely good fun for more than one person.

Carlini tortured the shit out of Mark. He is getting closer. You can see how much a better player makes you step up your game. Carlini is keeping his mouth shut and plays stellar moves. Mark helped him improve. Just tells you what it means to show respect.

Carlini is getting very close to winning. All three of them (Carlini, Dave, & Z) should do a bit of home prep for Mark's Grob Attack. That could make the difference.

@ 0:50 C6 was a mistake 🙁 I always thought that taking on the free grob pawn at g4 with Bxg4 and pinning the e pawn was the first step in destroying the Grob opening, hoping that white will chase it out with f3, weakening his King side even more

Question: Aren't there any chess boards that will record the game while it's being played? Boards that also keep track of the clock so you can also see how long each move took? Such boards would be excellent training boards... :-)
@andymac97336 жыл бұрын
chess.com saves your games in an archive, and it has all that. If you mean a computerized physical board I'm not sure.
@WimtenBrink6 жыл бұрын
I mean a physical board with real pieces, fit for tournaments. And which integrates with the chess clock.
@andymac97336 жыл бұрын
I doubt anything like that would be allowed at a tournament. guys would accuse you of trying to re-invent the wheel lol. I know there are computerized boards on the market with real pieces, so you can play against the computer or with another person. I have one from the late 80's or 90's that doesn't work anymore. Probably it was from Radio Shack.
@Ar7hus6 жыл бұрын
Try googling the DGT electronic boards and pieces.
@WimtenBrink6 жыл бұрын
Ah, found them! www.digitalgametechnology.com/index.php But isn't that just another chess computer? Wouldn't it break during a rapid game? Ever seen Dave play? Could this board handle that? ;-)
