Great Video. Helpful. But: Which wifi connection should be enabled? If the car is in carrage, the wifi shows our home wifi. Shall we have to connect with Carlinkt wifi ? Plz help.

Glad you found my video useful. By enabling wifi, I mean to say just switch on the wifi in your phone. The 2air device will auto-connect. Just need to turn on wifi and bluetooth on your phone, and pair it to the 2air using bluetooth.

Hi Harry. With this CarlinkIt5.0 device. While the device is connected to the car's USB socket through the USB-C socket. Can I connect the USB dashcam through the other USB-A socket ON this device? Since the dashcam has its own app and is located in the dashcam device. Is there any utility such as "FilesExplorer" to access the app located in the dashcam? Bro, I have a seltos 2022 top end. Does Carplay work on fullscreen? (My wired connection works full screen). Also if it works then can there be any issue of stretched display?

This device only converts the full carplay experience from wired to wireless. In my testing so far I have not seen the screen resolution or calibration change on its own. If you are getting full screen with wired then technically you should get the same screen on wireless.

I got this device yesterday and i am using it in my skoda slavia..when i paired it with car Bluetooth it got connected smoothly but after turning off and turning on the car phone is not getting connected automatically to the device and also when i try to do it manually it just keeps disconnecting/connecting every 3 seconds…software is upto date ..blue and red light keeps blinking..if i delete it from pair list and add it again it will work but it doesn’t make any sense..can you please help me to fix this issue

Hello, my car comes with a wide screen display when I connect via cable my iPhone it shows me Apple Carplay in full screen or wide screen mode, would it show it the same way using this device?

This device only converts the already wired connection into wireless. Meaning that you'll get a similar user interface as you get when you connect your phone to your car with a wire. So if you are getting widescreen with a wired connection, you should be getting the same thing using this device.

Nope, it just works as a wireless connection. The full screen support would be rolled out to different brands eventually and when it does, every other wireless adapter will show the same full screen view.

This device requires both the wifi and bluetooth to be enabled in order to work. I tried disconnecting the wifi but it just didn't work.

Because all you can see in the display is sent and received by Wifi ( created between carlinkit and multmedia system) Bluetooth is only for the few first seconds.

Unfortunately, it doesn't go full screen. This device only converts wired to wireless, nothing else. So you should be able to see a similar screen using this when compared with wired android auto.

Good question! I should've addressed it in the video itself, my bad. It is recommended to disconnect all the cables from the usb ports whenever the ignition is switched off and I try to make a habit of doing that as well. However, I did forget to unplug the cable to my existing adapter on 2 separate occasions, not this one though. And both the times, it had no impact on the car's battery as the adapter had switched off on it's own. Hope that clarifies it.

depends on the car model once the car switched off cuts the USB power at that very time or few minutes later , others never , so you need the check it. ( My Hyundai Ioniq cuts 3-4 minutes later once car is closed.

Will the 2air (5.0) ever get the ability to convert carplay to wireless android auto, for a car that only supports wired Carplay? The 4.0 does this I know, but I find it odd the new version would be lacking this feature that is important to some cars.

Je pense qu'il y a une certaine confusion. Cette boîte convertira uniquement votre Android Auto filaire en Android Auto sans fil ou Apple Carplay filaire en Apple Carplay sans fil. Les mêmes applications fonctionneront avec cet appareil qui fonctionnent à l'aide d'un câble pour une connexion filaire. This box will only convert your wired android auto into wireless android auto or wired apple carplay to wireless apple carplay. The same apps will work using this device that work using a cable for wired connection. Android auto or apple carplay work only if you connect your mobile device to car's head unit. Otherwise it won't work. This helps in getting red of the wires

If you have paired two phones and you don't unplug the Carlinkit, when you don't use the car, then it is up to the driver of the car, to turn on the wireless and Bluetooth on his/hers smartphone, before entering the car. Then the driver of the car is connected wireless. This way you can use, when the car cut the power to the USB, when the engine stops. If you shall unplug and plug the USB everytime, then I will say, that this product is useless, the only difference is, that you plug/unplug a smartphone if you are wired or you plug/unplug a Carlinkit if you are "wireless". Then the product doesn't help you. What do you mean about this?

You can decide to keep it plugged in but that might affect the car battery. In any case I don't think simply plugging in a device that's already kept close to the usb port every time we enter the car is that big of an issue. I still prefer this device over any other I have reviewed.
