unfortunatly, ever since android 14 on our phones, none of the apps work. I've been using and recommending external devices that work perfectly keeping the phones idle at all times. You can checkout my latest videos for that.

Thank you for this video. Too bad you have to bypass thousands of security warnings from Google to use the Carlinkit uptage tool app. I have never seen so many security warnings! It looks like this app is a dangerous scam or trojan. Why on earth didn't Carlinkit publish it on the official Google Play Store in the first place?

no bro this dongle is useful in only 2 cases. 1, if your pc doesn't have bluetooth and 2, if you don't want to use 3rd party apps like ds4windows. latency remains same with either the methods. disadvantages of using the dongle is that we can no longer use trackpad, headphone jack or gyro.

try resetting the gamepad, behind the gamepad there is a small hole, use a pin to press and hold for atleast 10 seconds (while gamepad is on) and then repair and check

Unfortunately, this method no longer works in any of the latest phones which is why you are facing this issue. I had uploaded several other updated videos for many apps in case you wish to try those. android 14 phones are the main reason such apps no longer work for most of us, you are still welcome to try. you can find the playlist of the videos on my channel.

in wireless/bluetooth mode, I don't think we can. in wired mode it is alreay disabled. this is in case of pc. in consoles this cannont be disabled unless there is a specific settings in the console itself.

I had my carstream running good wirelessly. Broke my phone had to reinstall the aaad app did the whole bit downloaded carstream and when it was on my head unit when I would go to KZbin it would say no new messages I could not see videos of type nothing in. So I deleted carstream and come to find out I have to wait a whole nother month to download another app from the aaad. So I have 3 days left. Don't delete the apps from the aaad , you will really have to wait a month to download another side app. Crazy..

Unfortunately, I doubt the apps would work anymore anyways due to android 14 on our phones now. None of the apps work now on 14. The only known solution are Android/Apple AI boxes. I guess you mean memory. Very less. Compared to a normal video clip of 1 minute, the memory consumed would be a fraction of it since only pictures are clicked in short time intervals and put together in a single clip.

to be honest I don't remember the exact numbers as I haven't used it after the review. However, I can recollect something like the timelapse recording would capture 30 minutes in just 1 minute clip size of which would be equavalent to 1 minute of normal 1080p recording of front camera which I think was around 60 mb. Maybe this information can be somewhat helpful if it is accurate since it's been a while I used this thing.

When i turn off the Wi-Fi on my phone to do the update it loads for a bit, and then still say "Please turn off Wi-FI and use mobile data to proceed". Like the Wi-Fi is off, but it still says it on. Do you have any suggestion what to do here?

Do you have to select the bluetooth device manually every time or does it auto connect? Once you get it set up, once you turn on the car engine, does it still take 20 seconds to boot up?

Once it has been setup, going forward everytime we step in the car and start it up, this device will automatically connect to the phone's (already enabled) bluetooth. And yes, this process takes around 15-20 seconds almost everytime.

@DCypher7 this is the quickest one to connect in my experience. Rest of the adapters that I know of take around 30 seconds on average. In reference to call connectivity and latency, there is hardly anything noticeable. It works pretty well and I always recommend this unit to anyone looking for a wireless aa Adapter.

Can the OttoAibox P3 be connected to the car and to an external monitor from the hdmi output at the same time? Unfortunately, none of the Android 14 phones now support these apps. I'm also currently using S24 Ultra and they don't work using my phone either. Actively looking into it for a solution, nothing yet though. Only workaround is to use android boxes. I've been using the carlinkit uhd, review video on my channel too. Check in the settings maybe there's an option to flip the rear camera view...that should resolve the issue.

Good video as always Harry! To me this device lacks a lot of features compared to Tbox Ambient or MMB max 5.0. No sim card calling/messages. Wifi/hotspot can't be turned at the same time, No developer option so unable to change smallest dpi for landscape apps and a few other bit. Difficult to justify the high price compared to Tbox and other 6225 variants as they can do a lot and way cheaper than this. I also found no stability issues with Carlinkit devices so the cost/benefit ratio is hard to justify. Nevertheless thanks for the good review!

@@HarryWT yeh that seems like a good device. Unfortunately not had a chance to try it. To me 6225 is pretty snappy and good for day to day usage. Yeh if need hdmi out than uhd is a better fit.
