Acrylic Horse Painting Abstract - Equestrian Art

This was my first try at this kind of abstract acrylic horse art, especially with an animal. I don't normally draw or paint animals or subjects ever. I had this idea and went with it. Since I was really creative that night I didn't record my full process so I recreated the process to show you.
Painted with acrylic paints and Floetrol. Use a brush, knife, a hairdryer and some craft sticks to create the horse.
This acrylic horse painting is a wonderful acrylic painting for beginners! People love equestrian art or horse paintings. This abstract style will impress your friends.

Awe that’s so awesome Kellie. Horses are so interesting to me. Here in southern Utah we have wild horses. Before moving here 3 1/2 years ago I had never seen a wild horse in my life. But I’ve seen a few here and over in Nevada.

Nice Painting Carl, I will attempt to create something similar . I love that horse appearance. Such action and movement in it colors are also mixed nicely. Air spray on with dryer for mane is great technique. It made it look free motion in the wind. Accidentally dryer use that's so COOL! Good to know technique!! I can’t believe how pristine you keep your workplace! I use my kitchen (because I can’t eat any more) and the paint ends up everywhere! If I was working in such a small area the computer screen would need wiping off! My hairdryer was black but now it’s hard to find even a small black area - the buttons get crusted up sometimes 😂 I love what you’ve created - it’s different from the random chaos of paint pouring and requires artistic talent that makes it yours. I’d have used a paint brush for the curve of the face and a palette knife for the rest. Brilliant result!

Awesome! I thought this was some kind of controlled acrylic pour and you managed to coral the cells into the shape of a horse.
