I met him in 2005 when he was real sick of cancer but he was still dancing up to the last moment. I have been dancing tango for 20 years and also knew a lot of the top milongueros in Buenos Aires. Gavito was definitely the best.

Hey, in the early '90s Gavito ran a tango school in London, England. He has family there.
