I'm a fan of both! This is a great episode and overall podcast! You can see they respect each other. In the end, in order to move forward you got to make peace with the past. Many comedians, can't mess with both of these dudes in a freestyle or in written format. I've seen them in San Diego many times...and they crushed! Keep em coming Willie! S/O to Carlos. This interview should get way more likes than it has right now, IMO. Willie went deep into the "Mind of Mencia" here. Carlos reminds me of some people I've met over the years - decent, talented, earnest pros who though have an edge to them that comes off as at times insulting to others and they just don't see or understand why people see their behavior like this. I like how the interview ended. I noticed Carlos was coughing a lot throughout the episode and Willie was unfazed and kept on giving him solid questions. I'm guessing Carlos wasn't actually ill with bronchitis but maybe hacking a lung due to anxiety. Willie is definitely a real one in the Latino comedy circle, and I understood what he meant when he said Carlos' punishment was way over the top for his alleged crime. I don't usually like to go into the racial victim route among professionals, but I do sometimes feel and sense that Latinos, for some odd inexplicable reason, seem to be targeted when non-Latino professionals see an opening to do this. And there are sadly some fellow Latino professionals who will do this or jump in the bandwagon.

When Joe was successful in cancelling Carlos I felt like someone just told me Cindy Crawford was a Tranny or something. Dude made it cool to be a funny Latino. Hi Willie, I was on hoodstocks also. I really liked Carlos comedy when I was in high school. I still remember 2007 because the first viral video I ever seen was 2 girls 1 cup around that time.
