Forgive me but your 4 hour StS content has activated my dialogue: I have over 1400hrs in this game and have been watching Baalor videos nonstop for over a year now. It's crazy, almost scary how enjoyable StS content is for me. The fact that you are now playing it is both a blessing and a curse that I openly welcome

I've never played StS, but it's surprisingly engaging to watch. I like to pause whenever there's a choice to make, figure out what I'd do, and then either watch eagerly as it plays out, or groan when Carl makes a different choice than I would. Whether Carl's choice turns out to be better or worse, it's satisfying either way... but I particularly like when he proves me wrong.

As others have said, and I on other games, it’s really fun to watch you experience these games that are favorites of so many of us for the first time! You’re also so good at narrating your train of thought, which just makes it so much better! The only annoying thing is the backseating, but it seems you and your mods are pretty good at dealing with that too.

I can't believe how fast these two videos went for me, just mesmerized by how much fun you're having with StS 😄 Many others have suggested future roguelite stuff, I'll throw in Against the Storm as well. If you were ever into Command & Conquer/Red Alert or other RTS games, Against the Storm scratches that base building and resource gathering itch without having any enemies to fight against (except nature itself)!

Oh my...right at the end of the video I'm thinking "I cannot wait to see him play Defect", and then you mentioned Noita. I mean, I want to see both, I'm just now *more* excited. Man, despite the many misplays this was *worlds* better than my first *several* runs of this game. It's got a bit of a learning curve -- order of operations can be especially trolly -- but you're doing quite well!

If you make 1000 STS videos, I will watch every single one. (The below is a joke, not actual backseating - the pre-edit cutoff cut off the punchline and made it look like actually serious backseating.) Also, you should've taken Burst+ so Larl could play everything twice, twice.

Relatively spoiler free heads up if you play Noita (which I think you would enjoy, it's a really science-y magical experience): Do not trust any assumptions you have about the game! It defies expectations, and does not hold itself back for the sake of the uninitiated. Also, there is no "correct" way to play, veterans might have a laugh or cringe at new players, but more than perhaps any game, you could spoil a hundred things in Noita and there would still be dozens if not hundreds of hours of secrets...the game is just asking to be broken open and even the more experienced mages probably don't know half that game's arcane mysteries...I'd almost recommend spoiling it for yourself after your first couple dozen hours, because even reading the wiki it's unlikely to master everything in a timely manner... though Carl does have that mad scientist brain, so maybe you'd just figure everything out easy = P

If like roguelike player, you have GOT to play FTL: Faster than Light. I'd suggest Darkest Dungeon as well, but that game can be punishingly hard. Like, the game boots up with a warning amounting to "Your characters will die. It's ok. That's by design." FTL, though, is really pretty friendly, and has lots and lots of content. Lots of "Learning" and experimentation to occur there!

It's probably magic brain. Things like that are very common as part of analyzing cards in magic, with Brainstorm as a very famous card with a somewhat similar effect. (There are other cards much closer in effect to preparation, like Faithless Looting, but they're less iconic.)

Slay the Spire > Noita. I don't think I'd enjoy a lot of blind Noitaing. Well maybe a video or two. But after that you really need to start looking stuff up. It's just too obscure and community driven. Even with guides it's still hard as nails.
