For the teaching in person, you might be able to see if your company has any interest in doing outreach and try to arrange demonstrations in local schools or universities. That would take a bit of work, but you'd get to see people again if you got the green light.

I'm 99% certain Carl's not near me, but I'm also 99% certain that if he were, there would absolutely be an ability to do that sort of thing. At least from the school side. I'm not the (or even a) science teacher, but Carl's science content is amazing and you can feel that, not only does he know his shit, but he *loves* it, too. And that's such an amazing thing when teaching. I hope he finds a way to be happy. And if that involves teaching, or speeches, or whatever, I have a feeling it'll go great.

The energy you have in your lecture/lessons is so good! I am good at math, and I enjoy math. I like to think that some of that excitement rubs off on students. The energy you have is honestly an inspiration that I want to one day reach. If you were to go to teaching, I think your students would come out as the real winners. Because even if that energy isn't there every single day, just having it occasionally, and the students *knowing* you love the content, is so amazing. Thank you so much for being an inspiration to me, and I assume to many others as well.

to answer your question in the title, probably because of the process that goes on for a troll level to even make it on your radar. going through several people who will have different tastes and different experiences with a level before a level reaches you, you are bound to miss some good levels -mafk

Carl, what you said about teaching in person vs Larl's Lab content makes me think of D&D. You can play over Discord, or you can play in person around a table with friends, and even though it's the same game, they are two *completely* different experiences. I have a lot less fun playing D&D over the internet than when I'm sitting down and messing around with people in real life.

I completely understand missing the teaching side of science. Teaching in grad school was definitely one of the best experiences in my career. You could host a weekly zoom or discord meet up where you lecture about current events in science. Make it like a journal article review where people can show up and ask questions and discuss the article/s. I think it might help fill the void in the interim.

More level ideas: Carl's Big Shell Burrito - 500 seconds of easy shell jumps. Barb's Bob-omb Bean Burrito: Bomb Voyage but boring: bomb-spinjumping for a few sec, then door, then bomb-spinjumping for a few sec, then door, etc. for 500 seconds, all using the same bomb. (As door count is limited, this actually has to be the same door every time, but every iteration something explodes to eventually open the path to the goal) #DGR's Big Bean Burrito: 500 seconds of walking on top of P-switches, only to learn that one should instead only do 470 seconds of this, then wait 10 sec for the timer to run out and a bomb to fall down that opens the path to the end.

Nintendo makes people pay an ongoing subscription for access, on top of the up-front buy-in for the game and console... and then deletes the best content before most people can try it. So I cancelled the subscription, stopped playing, and simply watch the game online instead. It's a much better experience.
