I think the strange launcher thing uses the linked glitch. Both munchers are linked, so they only fall when there is enough space for the munchers' added height to fall (3 blocks, with one big and one small) which is 3 blocks with the pow block. This makes neither of them fall. When you pick up the pow, the game realizes that the stack can fall, but then realizes that there's a blue platform, so it breaks the stack and drops only the bottom muncher. That's why Carl had to make the launcher one block longer for it to work with the cannon. It might also be because removing the pow updates the ground block, causing it to spawn. Another explanation can be because the items are solid and the bridge is semisolid, so that can explain why the spring didn't work (springs are semisolid). This is just a guess on how this works, I'm not actually an expert.

The troll was just the last two ice blocks of the snake flying onto the upper track instead of the lower track (e.g. at 52:22), so that if you stood on the back of the snake you would be forced to hit the spikes above the upper track.

Holy crap, that launcher glitch from the 1st level, I can already imagine some unique troll ideas from that. Ex1: Muncher blocking the path, you have a launcher spawning shells for you, and there is an unreachable POW block that you need to snipe with the shell. You use several music blocks below to find the right spot to get the shell to bounce in a one block hole and hit the POW to clear the muncher, only for a launcher to suddenly appear out of nowhere and either shoot a fireball straight for you or (even funnier), fire a shell that bounces off the same note blocks and snipes mario. Ex2: breakable blocks under Mario block the path, there's a bomb and a cannon attached to wall with donut blocks above to move the cannon and blow up the blocks. Suddenly a muncher appears on Mario's head if he doesn't move out of the way. Shame that this doesnt work with bowser/moving enemies, could create some interesting story or boss battle levels involving disappearing/reappearing foes.

I think the Thwomp Car glitch works because it's all on-screen at the same time, so the launcher doesn't spawn because it's got something layered on it, but the thwomp car is also intersecting with scenery, so that also hits the 'do not spawn' criteria simultaeneously. But when you go off screen, the thwomp car is unloaded seperately, and with that gone, when the launcher is re-checked, it has nothing stopping it from spawning.

I think whats happening at 21:00 is that the game says that the stack the object exists on shouldnt spawn, so it makes it invisible. Then, when you 'activate' the item, everything on screen sort of 'updates' and the game realizes that the thing on the bottom of the stack should have spawned, so it makes it suddenly appear as if it spawned, except it happens to be onscreen. I dont know why it didnt work with the spring or why it was doing the weird teleporting stuff later, but i suspect it's something related.

20:00 - What happens if the POW or other object underneath is on a conveyor to move it before you pick it up? That way you could move the horizontal position of something relative to where the troll object will appear. I'm guessing since the ground underneath seemed to need to be semisolid, it probably wouldn't work. And I burst out "holy shit" when the music note block worked!

So pushing the button to call an elevator more than once does nothing, and often hitting the close/open button in an elevator does nothing. but it makes you feel better to push it. Carl sometimes calls random blocks that do nothing elevator buttons. because its just there to tempt you into hitting it. even though its not going to do anything, or is only there to tempt you into pushing it in order to troll you.
