it would be great to be abele to watch cosmos on any of the streaming channels again so those who have came after us (who like me) watched it the first time can sit with our grandkids an watch there eyes light up with wonder an ask questions much like we did then .

A wonderful presentation by Dr. Ann Druyen Sagan, and a wonderful gift(s) that Dr. Carl Sagan shared with the World --- the need we have to grow and increase our self esteems, and to share our knowledge with all of posterity and more.

This was a great way to get the whole event started and I loved the whole thing. Really helped me and I'm sure many others feel less alone in the universe. Thanks to everyone involved. Nothing but love.

O how I miss figures like Carl Sagan these days. I remember reading his books and watching the two versions (one updated) of his wonderful documentary series "Cosmos", as well as having listened to his speeches given here on KZbin. What a great and brilliant mind he had. He took us all to a voyage of a lifetime and taught us in simple but very clear words what life is all about, not just here on Earth, but also out there in our wonderful universe. Now at 68 years of age I think I finally understood what he was standing for: he stood for all mankind, to make it better, to make it understand how valuable life is. Indeed, we are all made of star dust. From the stars we came and to the stars we will all return to be reshaped in some other form. Death is not the end, but just a passage into another form of conscience, and probably also into yet another lifeform. Where and how is not given to be known, and remains the great mystery to us all, but there is, at least in theory, evidence of what I am stating right here. This is also why I am confident that Carl may still be around, somewhere, somehow. Not as we have known him here on Earth, but in a different form and reality. This said though, what made his essence be alive here on Earth, is most certainly still residing in this new emanation of himself. And still I miss the man whose message to us all was to be constructive and respectful to one another, but above all, toward this fragile tiny Blue Dot that harbors our very life, and of which we are all just a tiny part in an immense ecosystem that we should be part of, instead of fighting it. I can still clearly hear his gentle but admonishing words to us all. They resound clearly in my ears, especially when I observe the nature around me. We really need more kind and caring souls as he was, and we also would most certainly need more brilliant minds as he had. I really wonder what he might be thinking of us right now at this moment, when everything seems to go against of what he had so hoped wouldn't ever happen...

Carl Sagan stands among the greats: Newton, Einstein, Hume, De Chardin, Locke, Kant, Gautama, Paracelsus, Trismegistus... and all the other luminaries whose names may have been forgotten to the sands of time - but whose ideas live on inside all of our hearts, minds, and dreams.

Dear Ann, Cosmos marked my life deeply! I was growing up in Argentina.... Mother Earth and the Universe never meant the same after Cosmos! My mom made an incalculable effort to purchase a color television so all of us, my 3 siblings, her and I, could learn about science and the Universe... like my dad would have loved. My dad was a scientist and had died a few month before the premier.... Carl's compelling storytelling helped us all to travel through the Universe in our minds and our hearts.... just like my dad wanted to. Carl's teachings live on in invisible ways in all those who could hear. I missed him so dearly. After last weeks' events, your words are comforting and deeply meaningful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. He was nothing but pure love.

Best thing top do is to introduce as many people as possible to Carl's COSMOS.

The English language (or any other) is too poor to describe exactly the greatness of Carl Sagan.

IMHO, If we can bring back a person to life, it's Carl Sagan. Thank you very much.
