Education is already mandatory and quite frankly I think Sagan would agree with Asimov: "There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge."

Carl Sagan "The Cosmos is all that is or was or ever will be." Carl Sagan, "I can’t imagine anyone denying the existence of the laws of nature, but I don’t know of any compelling evidence for the old man in the sky." More from the dumbass, "It’s perfectly possible that the universe is infinitely old and therefore uncaused. In fact, there are detailed cosmological models that hold such a view and that are consistent with everything we know. To my mind, it seems not fully satisfactory to say that there was a first cause. That seems to postpone dealing with the problem rather than solving it. If we say “God” made the universe, then surely the next question is, “Who made God?” If we say “God” was always here, why not say the universe was always here? If we say that the question “Where did God come from?” is too tough for us poor mortals to understand, then why not say that the question of, “Where did the universe come from?” is too tough for us mortals? In what way, exactly, does the God hypothesis advance our knowledge of cosmology? What predictions does it make on which the hypothesis will stand or fall?" from: www.uscatholic.org/articles/202001/god-and-carl-sagan-cosmos-big-enough-both-them-31939 Read the article. Have a vomit bag or trash can nearby for what a hypocritical, lying, mocking, disgusting, foolish person he was. Now, Carl the dumbass NEVER can get around these laws and what the lead to... Real science says nothing does nothing. Real science says if there was something there already it must fit with the evidence of what we know. We know the 1LT says there's a conservation of energy. It can change forms and neither can be created or destroyed. Creation cannot happen by natural means. The 2LT has various aspects, one being the universe is winding down, entropy. Usable energy is becoming less usable, so at one point usable energy was at its max. This all points to a supernatural creation, by a supernatural creator at a certain point in which matter, space and time were created. When I read how it can happen otherwise, ALL the fools resort to science-fiction. Once a supernatural creation is accepted, then the next step is finding proof of what supernatural power did it. ....yet the buffoon thinks creation happened naturally, but the idiot says, "What predictions does it make on which the hypothesis will stand or fall?" as the crap-for-brains ignores the CLEAR science that creation had to happen by God supernaturally! Still the fool who ignores the laws farted out, "I don’t know of any compelling evidence for the old man in the sky." Notice his mocking God, "man in the sky" as if that makes him look smart as he completely ignores the evidence. His question, "Who made God?" is as dumb as he is. So in his way of foolish thinking, if a supernatural creator created the natural realm, then that supernatural creator who created the natural realm with its natural laws has then become also bound by those natural laws the supernatural creator created. So explain why a supernatural creator is also bound by the laws the supernatural creator created. Or, show how smart you are and just give your science for creation happening naturally and don't forget to give your science how the natural laws were created, too. If he wanted to act smart, it may be a good idea to actually show you are. Sagan the dumbass will at some point face his Maker for his judgment of what he believed in this life. His extreme shame and regret was all his choice. He wanted to be a hypocritical dumbass. Then he'll be thrown into the lake of fire. It will be his 'The End' and be remembered no more. Nice as it would be, more importantly is that we need more people to follow in their footsteps and carry on what they started. We can't get them back, but we can strive to follow their examples and each strive to leave the world a little better place than it was when we arrived.

The problem is those who most need to listen to, and follow the examples of, those men will never do either. It is a cripplingly sad reality that, for many of us, our ideologies have become so entrenched, so a part of our very existences, that we cannot see past them any more than we can see past a brick wall. And, we would literally rather die before we'd ever compromise on our precious ideologies.

Yes, go to sleep and think of clueless Carl and his lies. How nice. Carl Sagan "The Cosmos is all that is or was or ever will be." Carl Sagan, "I can’t imagine anyone denying the existence of the laws of nature, but I don’t know of any compelling evidence for the old man in the sky." More from the clueless Carl, --It’s perfectly possible that the universe is infinitely old and therefore uncaused. What predictions does it make on which the hypothesis will stand or fall?"-- from: www.uscatholic.org/articles/202001/god-and-carl-sagan-cosmos-big-enough-both-them-31939 Read the article. Have a laugh for what a hypocritical, lying, mocking, disgusting, person he was. Carl cannot get around these laws and what they lead to... Once a supernatural creation is accepted, then the next step is finding proof of what supernatural power did it. ....yet he thinks creation happened naturally, "What predictions does it make on which the hypothesis will stand or fall?" He ignores the CLEAR science that creation had to happen by God supernaturally! Still, he ignores the laws... "I don’t know of any compelling evidence for the old man in the sky." Notice his mocking God, "man in the sky" as if that makes him look smart as he completely ignores the evidence. His question, "Who made God?" is as pathetic as he is. So in his way of useless thinking, if a supernatural creator created the natural realm, then that supernatural creator who created the natural realm with its natural laws has then become also bound by those natural laws the supernatural creator created. So explain why a supernatural creator is also bound by the laws the supernatural creator created. Or, show how smart you are and just give your science for creation happening naturally, and don't forget to give your science how the natural laws were created, too. If he wanted to act smart, it may be a good idea to actually show you are. Sagan lived his empty life clueless and has clueless followers.

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand. It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known. -- Carl Sagan, Pale Blue Dot, 1994

@@2fast2block I’m assuming your basing your opinion on a religious ideology. “Lake of fire” quote just because you don’t agree with someone based on their beliefs system, doesn’t mean you’re right to mock and belittle someone. The fact is, that we mere humans don’t know if we were created by a spiritual being or we just evolved, the fact is that we don’t truly know. There’s a possibility that a creator of some sort created humanity, earth, and all living things. Yet we live in a vastly imperfect world with many unanswered questions. We didn’t come from nothing, we came from something. What that is exactLy? I don’t know but there’s something magical devine and possibly spiritual wether that’s called a god, a spirit, an alien, or science we evolve and this world 🌎 is just too perfectly created for us humans to survive in it. Yes religions don’t have all the answers, all religions have been created by mankind our of a need to be connected with something higher than ourselves. I choose not believe in religion, but I choose not to deny the possibility of something higher than ourselves. Maybe we’re all godly beings living in a world experience, who knows but there’s something far greater than our own understanding that has to exist simply because it’ll be illogical to think otherwise

The visual of the Earth nearly filling the frame, and then slowly receding to nothing but a dot in a sunbeam with the other planets passing by (except Uranus), combined with the soothing music, and Sagan’s mellow narration, really makes this more emotional than it ever could have been in my opinion. Carl didn't make this place any better spreading his lies. Be real. The 1LofT states that energy can't be created or destroyed, it can't happen naturally. One aspect of the 2LoT shows that the universe is winding down, usable energy is becoming less usable. It is clear creation had to be done supernaturally yet it is still denied because people are just too proud to accept that, among other things. Asking how God was created as if that answered something is downright silly. Your question doesn't even make sense. Clearly creation had to be done by a supernatural creator. A supernatural who created the natural realm of time, space, and matter, along with the natural laws that govern it, is not bound by the natural laws the supernatural creator created. That's basic logic but you are NOT logical.

That belief--that "the human race is doomed"--can very easily become a self-fulfilling prophecy. It is also very far from being a new notion; in every age, people have said the same thing, but so far, every prediction of it happening (usually in the days of the utterers, or soon afterward) has proved wrong. I take solace in that reassuring statistic. One day, humanity *may* destroy itself (or, like Rome, but on a global scale, may descend into barbarism for one reason or another), but if we just give up and accept it as inevitable, it will be more likely to happen because no one will be working to create a better future.

Of course you can have your own view and opinion, but then say it in a decent way please. How dare you saying things like that just because someone is not sharing your opinion? Somebody who REALLY cares wouldn't go out there and scream around "y'all are fucking ignorant pussies because you .....(don't share my opinion)", right??? Who do you think you are, talking to people like that? It's people like you who are offending others intentionally and on their own initiative! If someone tries to hurt you, defend yourself (or others, of course!), but let the people live their lives just as you want them to let you live yours. And by the way: how are you so sure about being right? Hear me out... me for example... personally, i don't "believe" that there is a god. But i'd never say that i know there isn't. Because i just CAN'T be sure about it. Just as you can't know that there is one. We are humans. We can see, smell, taste, feel and hear. But wait - doesn't it all only happen in our brains? Everything we see...how can we be sure that in reality it looks exactly the way we see it? We can't. Theoretically, everything (EVERYTHING) we have ever seen, heard, etc. could also not be true (or not the only truth). I'm not saying that it isn't, but i'm saying that it's possible. Because everything is possible. We with our modest 5 senses... how can we be sure? We can't. Maybe there IS a god. I cannot know. In my opinion, humans can rely on science the most, because it's based on facts that could have been observed by us, by our modest 5 senses. There are many things that cannot be observed by our senses, although we're still pretty convinced they exist (microwaves for example.. electrons... protons... quarks... oof there are so many), but they could have been proven with logical thinking which we have developed throughout the years (based on the natural laws which we experience every day). And i have another quick question: how are you sure that it's your "religion" which is right? There are numerous religions and some of them are probably also similar to yours, so how do you know that it's you and only you who is right? As i said, i'm not sure that there isn't a god. All of it is possible. I think one shouldn't think that his opinion is the only right one. I think that people should be more open to other points of view.
