Great interview lads, Carlton got to give his side of the story, I knew the Kuqi story at the time which wasnt known widely & when Carlton took over the County squad was overloaded with players on too high wages. We will never know what would have happened had Kennedy not taken over, but Carlton did bring in some good players like Beckett, Lambert, Goodwin.

Enjoyed that! Palmer definitely had a bad perception as a manager at the time, but he clearly faced a sh@t storm under Kennedy. Had to balance the books and give a chance to the kids. A thankless task. That 2-1 win over City will never be forgotten 💙

2001/2 was a difficult season watching us lose every week (4-0 at West Brom by the way) but the emergence of Welsh, Thomas, Spencer & McClachlan plus some good results against City, Sheff Wed & Watford gave us hope for 2002/3. But his signings that season were awful. Burgess, Lambert, Pemberton, Tonkin. £1million wasted.

No idea who kilner was!!!!!! Embarrassing from Palmer. Kilner did a great job mixing it with the big boys in the championship.

Elwood build the cheadle end Got us to the championship but he ended up selling us out didnt Know about his wife though so fair enough.

I think things took a sour turn between Elwood and the fans over the Man-Stock County debacle. Things weren't the same after that and I thought that was the reason he sold the club - didn't know about his wife's dementia.
