Always comes across as a knowledgeable and humble human being. What he did at Everton and West Ham was truly remarkable. Especially at West Ham, people might forget that this man saved them not once but twice from relegation and brought them all the way up to win the european conference league.

His team 2006-2009 with Everton was 1 decent striker away from doing something special. 6th, 5th & 5th, FA Cup Final, Semi’s, European runs… To get Everton there from perennial relegation fighters, on a shoestring budget, was an amazing job.

Also comes across as an absolute dinosaur. His reaction to clubs using analytics to identify prospects nowadays is fairly telling. It's worked fairly well for Brentford and Brighton hasn't it?

Might not have worked out at my club Sunderland but I there were mitigating circumstances at the club when Moyes were here. The job Moyes did at west ham was brilliant and that should not go unnoticed. An intelligent and experienced football man and could listen to Moyes all day

Excellent,good man David.Some complaining about references to United, but David could have made his own references concerning Everton. And of course he was at United for a while.I think his ability to communicate made this a pleasure to watch.A proper football man.

Mr Marinakis (Forest owner) is planning to buy at least one more football club, likely in Brazil (Vasco Da Gama). Edu will be in charge of the whole project as CEO with each individual club having a sporting director reporting to him. It’s a huge opportunity not just being a sporting director at one club.

And the opportunity for Edu to oversee the whole project as CEO, including the purchase of a Brazilian club. To see an opportunity to introduce talented young Brazilians to Rio Ave & to try to break into the big 3 in Portugal and then to try to break into big 6 in England. Such a huge opportunity.

Always a lot of time for Moyes. He could maybe have been a bolder with his tactics sometimes, but a good manager and like he said, got Everton and West Ham into Europe for multiple years both. Good luck to him.

I disagree with Wrighty saying Utd aren't patient with managers, if anything, they're too patient. Other than Moyes, every manager has had at least 2 years which is more than alot of other clubs would have given them. Fans have been super patient aswell, if they were less so, maybe more managers would have been sacked earlier

24:10 Time and age are such interesting concepts to grasp, ‘cause Ian being able to instantly recall a cup final that happened 49 years ago when he was 11-12 is weirdly mind-blowing for me. I’m not saying he’s supposed to be feeble at 61. It’s just cool to see how much the human memory can store and how it can all come back at a moment’s notice.

Hmmm, not the best episode. Didn't feel as formal as the Hoddle or Benitez episodes. Didn't get to speak about his years at Everton, nor much of anything after United (outside of West Ham). Good to hear a bit about playing styles and David's time at West Ham. Props to Roy for looking after David when he arrived to the seats 👏 The conversations certainly drifted around much this time, but we got hear about Man Utds prospects this season ... (yet again)
