Love either of 1; FOS. 2/DRAPER 3/ LALOR .... the traits of Draper is what we need most most to round out our midfield w pure line breaking pace & willingness to attack out of the front of stoppage

DVG could be a good pick up if we take him

IMO any of FOS, Lalor, Draper. Even Smith would be HUGE for us

I hope Kennedy dominates at the Bulldogs he best position is inside mid for sure

They were absolutely honest with Kennedy that we wanted to keep him however if he wanted to guarantee himself more midfield minutes [ which we couldn't ] we wouldn't stop him. IT WAS HIS DECISION!.... Full respect to both sides with Carlton doing the absolute right thing by Kennedy and his manager

That’s not true. He played every position he was given last season. Clubman of the year wants to leave.It was Voss decision, show again he can’t coach

Ian you know your picks. I agree. Initially wasn’t on board Draper but he’s improved his disposal and the kid is proven. FOS could be a bust. Cannot afford to risk it.

WIth the Campo twins playing with him for SA this year. I wouldn't be surprised if Austin goes with Draper. All mates apparently.

I Think a super important component we are not hugely talking about is our ability to keep our top players on field. Can our New fitness Guy get an instant impact?

Houston should of being a free agent and we going for Tyson Gresham, NGA gun small forward 2025 boys.
@harrylederman1679Ай бұрын
Elijah Hollands is definitely going to be playing more midfield minutes next year as you suggest.... And don't forget that we had no access to Sam Doherty last year who will be available to resume his midfield and wing roles.... Motlop had a massive pre-season last year and spent some time in the midfield as well in the practice matches however as we know the injuries stuffed up his year entirely

We have jsos back this year to

Do u want to draft the modern day Dan Houston. equivalent of Ang Chistou [1994-96 version]. OR our potential ly new Crsig Bradley [ 1986 till 2002 version ] ....??..... For Carlton considering our team needs right now & the holes in the present day team list MY ANSWER = you would rather get another running all Australian captain game /line breaking and goal kicking player who would also set up the key forwards with excellent long piercing kicking to position [ equivalent of pick 3 : )

Yet we traded him to Saints.

@@harrylederman1679not talking about them. The reference was to Pick 3 who is being talked up as being the guaranteed HIT 200 gamer that will give us huge lift. Our last pick 3 was Dow, so this post is being Uber positive about everything Austin did n didn’t do. We got to accept his trade period as it’s where we are at but it isn’t untouchable to criticism.
@harrylederman1679Ай бұрын
@@macchampion1312 I didn't understand your comment '' we traded him to the saints''... But I guess you were talking about Paddy Dow.... But I don't understand the connection with my comment because I was talking about the sort of player we need for our current list is the Craig Bradley as opposed to the booming kick on Ang Cristou... But yes it would stink if we selected another Paddy Dow which was the worst selection considering the picks that were missed straight after in LDU & Cerra....& then O'BRIEN with pick 10 that was even a worse selection
@macchampion1312Ай бұрын
@@harrylederman1679 the connection was Pick 3 and our recent record there. If he becomes a Craig Bradley then a miracle revisited we will embrace as he was a generational player n now club legend. As for Dow v picks after n before I clearly recall the debate surrounding who we should get which was hotly debated. Based on their u18 reputation they were all quality. I doubt LDU was an option to selectors who clearly prefer only one bull in the paddock, confirmed from this trade period. Cerra hopefully gets his body right as he has hit a plateau n cost us as deeply as Dow n SPS. Throw Stocker OBrien as 1st rd talents who plateaued. Either we are picking mentally inferior driven players or simply have a poor development department.

Carlton , Owies Kennedy, Carrol., we will miss these guys but aquireing pk 3 ,pace is paramount , and parting with those particular players says Carlton want a Draper ,Lolor O Sulivan , with the Camper lads and Haynes is a swap for kennedy , when that became an option it became a choice Haynes will play for Kennedy in his stead GO BLUESRARARA 😢,

Lalor is not physically ready to go. Strength yes but not the tank. Will ping a hammy straight away.

Ian mate, love the podcast. Seen you around a lot with Terry and Pom, love your work. Your take on Kennedy that he should “maybe be smarter and don’t conceive a child 9 months before the most important month of your career” has got to be one of the dumbest, most brain dead takes I’ve heard from a Carlton KZbinr. It’s just adding to stupid fan led speculation about ‘Kennedy feeling like he’s owed something cause he came to play on the week of his child’s birth’. He’s not owed anything, 100% agree. But to put it on Kennedy for ‘mistiming the conception of his child’ is so dumb and immature mate. There’s more to life than footy. I’m probably wrong, but I don’t think Kane Cornes has had as silly of a take on footy than that. I know you go on after essentially making those comments a devils advocate type scenario, but to even begin with that is beyond me. I know I sound like an ass, and fair to you if this has rubbed you up the wrong way. I enjoy the content mate. But just really needed to get my point across and that take. Still enjoy your work
