I underestimated Carlton coming into this game, they've had an easy fixture up until this point but that was super impressive without many key players. Everyone talks about their second half fade outs but they just manage to hold on every time it's impressive how their defence holds up under siege. GG from a Swans fan!

I became a Carlton fan in 1983. My ship ported in Rockingham Perth. Watched the AFL for the first time; The Blues playing the Hawks. Bruce Doull made a lasting impression. It's good to see the Blues playing well again.

I was a young fella when my family moved from tweed heads to Melbourne in 1971. I was a rugby league fan, but saw my first game between Richmond and Carlton on a black and white TV and from that day on I was a blue supporter… jezza, nicholls, doull, southby, std Jackson, keogh… great to see em back after many lean years.

This literally almost feels like the 2005 season in terms of pressure from the media over us. A bit reasonable too as we always seem to kick blindfolded inside 50 and our Midfield keeps getting torched. Nonetheless, some changes to our strategies should help us improve. I just really want to see us stay consistent for 4 quarters because we can really dominate when we take over games. Nonetheless though, kudos to Carlton.

Impressive win by Carlton. However they need to work on by hanging onto those big leads as they choked a bit in the late 3rd and last quarter. If they can put in a full 4 quarters of footy they’ll be a strong top 4 contender

Hard to fathom how the Swans lost when they had complete ruck dominance over a novice (DeKoning) and a makeshift ruckman (Silvani) for Carlton. It was a very poor effort by the Swans.

It was a strong performance from the blues today, I think that they have taken their game to next level from last night's contest against the swans. A lot of people may think that the swans were robbed yet again but the blues were first to the ball more often and when you get first to ball you earn more free kicks. Unfortunately when a team almost always get to the ball first they would get the rub of the green from the umpires. I do have to admit though when there were some 50/50 calls nearly every call went the blues's way.

Carlton are so good at the kaos football don't get me wrong they can play precision football but I must say the pressure they put on the opposite side is top quality very similar to Richmond 2017,2018, 2019, 2020. If they continue this type of football they will match up good against any side up until now the only losses they have are against young sides full of run both Gold coast, & Fremantle im sure most people like myself thought in the last quarter the swans were going to overrun the blue's however they found something as they did in the past 2 close games Hawks, Port, and now the Swans, great win Blue Baggers well done just say two players that stood out we're Jakob weitering and in the last term Tom de'Coning not surehow to spell there names sorry if they are wrong Tom took some outstanding marks in that last quarter. Jacob did it all night arguably the best full back in the AFL at the moment.

Watch it again and see how the umpires rushed('play on') the Swans at every opportunity when they took a mark or received a Free Kick but they didn't do that to Carlton!

I guess if you go by the book, you're right. But I think I can justify that it should be. If you've had prior and the opposition causes you to lose control of the ball, I think that should be incorrect disposal. There was a similar incident last year, Callan Ward got bumped by Dan Butler and the ball was dislodged, umpire paid it holding the ball. Yes it's not specifically in the book, but I think common sense says that if you've had your prior, and it gets knocked out, you should have disposed of the ball beforehand.

That game was an absolute disgrace! Wake up to the umpires people! They were so sensitive to giving the Blues Free Kicks and weren't the other way! When Sydney kept coming back, they brought in their BS 'protected areas' rule to give the Blues a 50meter penalty to try and turn the tide late in the game but it backfired and Sydney kicked a goal from it 😂

mate sydney were so undisciplined and gave away too many high tackles and push in the backs, it was well umpired apart from the dissent frees which i think are stupid. carlton dominated the contested possessions which mean they were first to the ball and if your first to the ball you’re gonna get rewarded. instead of complaining about carlton getting a good run by the umps, have a crack at sydney for being careless. carlton are a tough team now, they play like their coach and skipper and no one wants to admit they are finally on the right track.
