Hi Governor Pies fan here, but I love your show as your insights are spot on. The Blues I think are best placed to challenge Swans, who I think on MCG will not cope with the big 3 forwards of blues late in September. Time will tell. It's time for Blues to make another GF. There is time for Pies to get their soldiers back and get going as they are in striking distance in reality to finish top 4 or 6 still. Pies v Blues GF may still play out or Preliminary Final that would be special.

@@PommyinOZ back in the 60s Carlton were poor and parents were not that involved in what their children were doing. But Mum pulled me aside before the 68 Grannie (I was 11) and told me I could continue to support Essendon but if the Bombers won nobody in the house would speak to me. Tough call for an 11 year old. I switched and the Blues got up by 3 points. 😀

I'm a rival guy! Generally speaking for me it's a bit like Liverpool man city rivalry. I hate Liverpool more than city purely as they were always the bigger asshats growing up, generally essendon fans give me far more abuse aside from herbatron than any other we play (Brisbane get a mention here) where as pies fans always 99% are fine with me post game! But also I think personally this game has hurt me more than most vs pies. Pies have either been other end of ladder, but essendon always where we are and the 2019 and last year stick out
