Watching this makes me mad too for other reason, First Carly talking to Jason about how she wants to keep Sonny then Jason and Lucky fighting over Liz! Pleazzze! Caly should have been with Jason period! The things I loved about that scene was Carly putting little miss perfect in her place and she was right 5 years later Lizzie jumping back and forth from Lucky to Jason!

I suspect that one of the reasons Sarah Brown left was because Carly was becoming way too integrated with Sonny and Jason and even worse, had to see Carly become a woman through THEIR perspective instead of her own. If you study Carly's story arc through 2000/01, it's really Sonny and Jason telling her who to be, what to do and where to go. Sarah Brown was way too smart an actress to play such material - they should have just killed Carly off.

JY's Lucky is the whiny 2000-2003 Lucky; who had insecure issues with Elizabeth and Jason being friends regardless if his "scheming" cousin Carly egged it on or not; but Greg Vaughn's Lucky was moderately jealous and JJ's Lucky was and probably still is moderately jealous and more open minded; at least with Johnathan Jackson as Lucky; there is many dimensions to his character.

Sarah brown is such a good natural actress. I know sarah left gh early when she played claudia. I'm pretty sure she said she did not like her storyline. I wonder if its bc she was paired up yet again with sonny in a very similar way that carly & sonny started. He treated carly like trash he treated claudia like trash. He had a ons with claudia same with Carly. Later on claudia got pregnant with sonnys baby & that's when sonny started to treat her with respect same with carly. Claudia miscarried the baby carly miscarried the first baby. Sonny starts to really like carly after the miscarriage. Sonny starts warming up to claudia after she lost the baby. Carly wanted to force sonny into another baby here & claudia started to beg sonny for another baby. I mean guza is such a hack that he ripped off the exact same story with the same actress opposite the same actor just a different character . I can see why she bailed on her contract early. I think sarah must have known their would be dealings with sonny as both were in the town mob families but I suspect she did not want her character dependent on sonny. Maybe explore different love interests & story possibilities. Sarah likes her hair blonde or light so she dyed her hair black to look different from carly. I'm sure she came back to gh to have a refreshing new story. Also carly had no freinds other than Jason. Claudia had no friends other than her brother/son johnny. I'm sure sarah left gh as carly bc her character used to interact with different people. She started to become dependent as sonnys appendage. I always wondered if she was upset about the pairing of her & sonny. She & steve put 3 plus years into the jarly pairing & then their was no payoff & sonny just got the fruits of their labor. I also wonder if sarah voiced this to the writers & that's why they came up with carly running deception where she at least got to start working which carly never really did & got to interact with laura. The problem was it was half assed. Carly was always leaving her job to tend to sonny. I always was annoyed that as a jarly fan their was never a payoff. I know Steve was leaving but couldnt we get 2 months of happiness for them? We got jason kissing carly first & the first time since their stranger sex days. Then we got one scene of them on a park bench where Jason told her he wanted her. Finally. Then the same episode we get her watching a stupid dance of liason jumping to the wrong conclusions then going to sonny for hate sex & poor Jason who just got shot for sonny sees them both naked under a robe & her a t shirt. That was such a kick in the gut. I stopped watching gh for several years. I tuned in here & there after Jason was shot & saw that jarly were done & it was maddening that Steve's last 2 months instead of being with carly were him recovering & liz being his nurse maid. How bout Jason like lucky is presumed dead? Or jason has to disappear for awhile bc he is in danger or the cops are after him. Or maybe carly gets hurt & Jason realizes the buisness is too dangerous for him to have a gf so he leaves & then if carson had to happen sonny & carly start becoming friends bc they miss Jason & they wind up in the sack. At least at oltl when roger howarth left the first time in 95 the writers gave fans a very fast reunion they married blair told him about the baby & he left the show with tnb fans getting their payoff. Tnb were never happy like that again. Yes they got married again in 2001 but as fans we knew the other shoe would drop & the baby jack lie would be revealed & end them. I know writers feel happiness for a couple is boring but not to the fans. L& L got to be happy while on the run & had the big wedding. Laura dissapeared shortly after kidnapped by the cassadines bc genie quit. At least when tony wanted to exit a few years later they brought genie back & they were happy & left the show with laura pregnant with future lucky & got a happily ever after . Lastly if sean I never left gh abruptly in 97 I believe he & carly would have ended up together instead of carly going to jason.

Jake was produce by a drunken one-night stand between Jason and Elizabeth. The conception of Jake was not from some great romance. Elizabeth was hurt because Lucky was cheating, and Jason was pining for Sam at the time. Also if Elizabeth has chosen to go after what you wanted back in 2001; all of her children could have been fathered possibly by Jason. Jake wouldn't have gotten kidnapped by Helena because her son wouldn't have been linked to Luke as a grandchild. She wouldn't have went Bonkers probably either when pregnant with Aiden. Elizabeth could have changed her whole life by choosing Jason in 2001.
