The most interesting part of this song is that the woman who did the breaking up is coming from a place of genuine love and care while the guy who she broke up with is coming from a place of hurt and the bitterness that comes with it. Very cool how both perspectives were showcases since we’ve all been on both sides of that coin

Maybe that's true but if somebody's married they should not just up and leave if they have not tried every possible means of working together to fix the problem. People take divorce so lightly nowadays. Marriage is hard and sometimes just plain won't be fun but that's when you have to try and come together to make it work.
@sanchez25395 жыл бұрын
I think a lot of people are missing the meaning of the song. It’s about breaking someone’s heart without really wanting to hurt them, and Brice represents the person who was hurt.

Songs bring out different feelings in us all . Some have different meanings to us all . I lost my mamma last year , and I never got a chance to apologize for resenting her so much . Bad childhood . I played the victim always. Never took into consideration she was a person with feelings of her own .😢 When i was driving one beautiful morning I almost crashed because of this song . It brought all my feelings up to the surface in that split second . I took another second to talk to mom even if she’s gone I hope she found her happiness. Even if it’s a love song it has a different meaning to me . It will forever remind me of you mom 😭😭😭😭 I pray everyday that you forgive me 😢

I've found this song a few days ago. My wife left me 3 months ago after 10 years of marriage because she don't love me anymore, even thoug I am proud of me as a loving husband. Seems I didn't diserve a face to face conversation... no, she just left a letter and took her stuff and I found it when I came home after work. I would understand if I would be a bad man with bad feelings and bad behavior, but sometimes men also suffer without diserve it, not just women. I hope you have a great life and find a man who takes care of you as I did and feels the deepest love, but I doubt it. You don't find a good man just around the corner. Don't come back saying "I'm sorry, I made a mistake" when you just broke my heart in pieces. I had an unconditional love for you... seems you had a lot of conditions to love me. I won't buy the "I didn't want to hurt you" line.

The love of my life, my wife just shy of 40 years decided in November of 2015 that she didn't love me anymore and wanted a divorce - that somehow the grass was greener on the other side and that her life would be better without me. 4 years later I'm still reeling from the loss as she is everything to me. This song hits home...65 years old and alone. My heart is broken and I doubt if I'll ever recover from this. Think I'll have them play this song at my wake... Randy Wilson
