I’m turning 29 next month and I’ve been through so much between losing my grandpa to pancreatic cancer, having a brain tumor, and being in two abusive relationships. A standing O. She deserves everything she has. Talk about paying the price for a hit song. There's just something about a person singing a song so personal that really makes them sound so genuine. I know she had help writing it , but obviously the other writer was really tuned into her feelings from her experience. I don't care if she never writes or sings another hit song , for me this is her moment in the 🌞 sun. She has literally turned a rough experience into one damn smooth song.

Where's Dolly, Reba, Garth, Carrie, Barbara Mandrell, and so many others? All I see are young faces that probably don't have a clue of what real country is and the long history it has and what it took to get there. Very disappointing so far, as I'm watching it. I'm stunned :( Think I'll go back to watching videos of real country music. Country music is about storytelling of life's challenges, happiness, family, GOD, etc., not fake stuff that some made up to sound country. Yes, I like some country of today, but I'm still very much a traditionalist, when it comes to Country music. No wonder Country Music Awards shows have less and less viewers and I'm not the only one who thinks so. There's more to Country music than wearing a cowboy hat.
