Really nice work! Particularly the weathering turned out great. I would maybe recommend a primer before the enamel paint but on the other hand if you want a bit of that orange tone to show through, that seems to work great too

Carly, this is so FREAKIN' cool! Does your awesomeness know no bounds? Methinks not. Please continue to bring us these amazing Star Wars videos. Maybe one day I'll get my man cave I've always wanted... and have enough money to buy/make all these sabers and blasters and such to decorate it. A guy can dream... until then, I'll happily live vicariously through you.

Always prime when painting like this, takes a bit longer, but is super helpful, also using a bit of black spray paint facing into the barrel is good, the a little around, adds a nice natural looking bit of weathering and makes it more uses looking. Anyways, other than that great job, really nice looking.

Kenobi once said “so uncivilized”…NO, this is better than any lightsaber, u are so talented. I love the color and “worn out effect”, this looks like a prop used in some movie/good fan film production. Nice job (ALSO congrats for the 19k on yt)

Dremels are amazing!!! So versatile!! I know we’ve been wearing masks for the past 2 years, but when your painting or sanding, it doesn’t hurt to wear a mask and keep the fumes and dust out of your mouth and lungs. Those silver touches look amazing!!

First off primer I recommend tamiya grey let fully dry then your black coat several coats, after fully drying brush your silver on the muzzle, the look up dry brushing yours looks over weathered in that dept. between that and not priming your handles and using a clear coat instead of a matte coat could have made a good looking blaster to a great looking authentic replica

Using the dremel over the X-Acto knife and sculpting tool was a great idea. And I vibe with the worry of using one for the first time. My first time using one was on the metal shielding plate to a Playstation 3 I modded, which was nerve racking on it's own. Finished result of the blaster is pretty neat. I personally would have looked for a way to remove the screw on the grip to hide it's toy origin. But, for a "conversion", you still did a fantastic job!
