Iverson took the worst offensive team to the NBA Finals and gave the GREATEST PLAYOFF TEAM EVER their only loss. Every team had been swept by Shaq/Kobe up to that point. I think one big issue with Melo is that he has this huge superstar ego that needs to be catered to and an entitlement that his skills do not warrant anymore like they used to. He is currently a role player, off the bench in the NBA. But he is demanding that organizations come to him, kiss his ass and gently give him a massage before he will take an off the bench role. If Joe Ingles or Matthew Dellavedova were in the exact same situation, they would simply shut the fuck up, be super humble, and thank a team for the opportunity to be a role player on their team. Then they would come in, no questions asked and work their asses off, hustling, hitting open shots, etc. It's hard as hell for a former superstar like Melo to do that, when people have kissed his ass his whole life because he was the man.
