I think one big issue with Melo is that he has this huge superstar ego that needs to be catered to and an entitlement that his skills do not warrant anymore like they used to. He is currently a role player, off the bench in the NBA. But he is demanding that organizations come to him, kiss his ass and gently give him a massage before he will take an off the bench role. If Joe Ingles or Matthew Dellavedova were in the exact same situation, they would simply shut the fuck up, be super humble, and thank a team for the opportunity to be a role player on their team. What Cavs team are you talking about? None of his teams were better than a LBJ/Love/Kyrie led team. Even if his teams were better than say the 2007 Cavs team, it still wasn’t a great team. That Cavs team was a top 4 defensive team. Melo never had a superteam unlike LBJ/Wade.
