Respect to Melo as well for answering the questions honestly and obtaining his perspective. A lot of narratives have been drawn on his name, some deserved some undeserved. You have people that love Melo, some that hate him. Melo’s career has been plagued w bad management. From Detroit not taking him, to the Denver not putting the pieces around him, Knicks failing him, and Thunder and Rockets ineptitude have been well documented. No team has been more successful after he left them so?

Watching this interview just shows how disrespected melo is in the NBA. From what I took from this interview just shows how much of a great individual and player he is. Melo could've easily went to another team and easily won a championship, but instead he wanted to compete and fight for a title, something this league is not familiar with anymore. People keep comparing bron and melo, but the difference is they won't have a problem building a team around lebron, they won't do the same for melo. This interview melo sheds light on the clear issue with 2 different teams which was communication as far as what he can provide for said teams. Alternative agendas were being made behind his back and he made the best out of it instead of whining and complaining

Iverson took the worst offensive team to the NBA Finals and gave the GREATEST PLAYOFF TEAM EVER their only loss. Every team had been swept by Shaq/Kobe up to that point. Iverson was the entire offense pretty much - 5'11 I might add. 22 yr old Lebron carried an average/half decent squad to the finals. Don't give us that bullshit excuse.

You know that's one really good thing about sticking to one franchise rather than moving around. If you stick to one team over the years that team and that fanbase wouldn't allow you to leave. There's a certain loyalty that comes with it. Like other players that may have been past their prime but still played because that team they played for year after year had their back. I think one big issue with Melo is that he has this huge superstar ego that needs to be catered to and an entitlement that his skills do not warrant anymore like they used to. He is currently a role player, off the bench in the NBA. But he is demanding that organizations come to him, kiss his ass and gently give him a massage before he will take an off the bench role. If Joe Ingles or Matthew Dellavedova were in the exact same situation, they would simply shut the fuck up, be super humble, and thank a team for the opportunity to be a role player on their team. Then they would come in, no questions asked and work their asses off, hustling, hitting open shots, etc. It's hard as hell for a former superstar like Melo to do that, when people have kissed his ass his whole life because he was the man.

@@crownkearney961 LeBron made to the finals without superstars in Cleveland. Melo is just being jealous, being in the same draft class but won nothing. Cause most of his draft was in the Miami team. Stop making excuses for not winning Melo, he had superteams but he failed. Blame Yourself

The Rock when Bron made the finals without superstars that was in a weak east.Melo played in the west which in this era has always been the tougher conference. Melo had an old AI, old Billups on his nuggets teams. I’d doubt anyone would consider his nuggets team a super team or even having a superstar with the exception of old AI.

Only reason he didn't make the conference finals in 2013 is cuz that entire Knick squad from top of rotation to the bottom got hit with the injury and ailment bug. Melo even tore his shoulder during the Celtics series and played through in the 2nd round. But no one will remember any of that cuz they lost and it's a damn shame his great moments will be forgotten because he never won a championship.

nah he was trying to start some shit n Melo peeped that... remember Melo is the reason Stephen A isn't in the 'circle' of Lebron, Wade, CP3... he was coming down hard on Melo, and they checked Stephen A and banned him from their 'inner circle' hence why he never has exclusives about these 3... Melo was or is the 4th of that group... so he was low key tryna throw shade at them...
