Ray Allen is a good guy and a class act! Celtics didn’t respect him, and stalled him. The deadlines were approaching. He DID reach out, but nothing came of it. He made a decision like a man. He has to live with his decision at that point, and the other guys need to grow up. ‘Nough said...

@@steve_rogers5003 i mean, in KD's case he went to the team that just beat them at his prime and where coming off a 73-9 record while having the option to go wherever he wanted, vs Ray that was turning 37 and only had 3 offers and already got a championship with Boston. Allen made a business move with class that paid out, KD just threw a tantrum, same tantrum he threw when leaving golden state. Different story would of been if KD did it at the end of his career.

Elliot Rios Rivera yes kd joined a super team in his prime while ray did it at the end of his career. But ray was still good enough to hit the game winning shot. Ray also joined a team that just beat them. And no ray didn’t join a 73-9 team but he did join a super team with the best player in the league. Also, kd didn’t have a ring when he left but ray did. I’m not trying to say kd didn’t make a soft move, I’m just trying to justify Celtics fans reaction when ray left.

The Big 3 era Celtics are probably my favorite team of all time and I still can't fault Ray for leaving when he did. His relationship with Rondo (who had taken on a much larger role with the team) had fractured beyond hope of repair while his role was gradually being diminished. Combined with how the organization prioritized his contract, it only makes sense that he would feel slighted.

Kharma eventually wins at the end. Ray was able to win his 2nd championship (suppose to be his 3rd because the league rigged that game 7 rematch vs the Lakers) & play his final game in the finals (even though he lost). Ray was still serviceable, productive & was an important piece to help a championship contending team win. KG & Paul weren't the same players they once were after Ray left. KG ended his career on a losing team. Paul Pierce did finish his career with a playoff team (Clippers), but just had that gw in that one playoff series. Both werent as serviceable & productive as Ray was at the end of their careers.

Ray Allen was the best player in the Celtic. He was a free agent and his teammates and management never cared nor prioritize him to stay. He felt disrespected with the delaying tactic on his contract and it turns south. He won another chip and added another one on his resume. His decision justifies everything coz he just didn't want the chip but he made the big the shot too.

Exactly, they stalled him. They deadlines were approaching. He DID reach out to KG. He is a class act, and he handled it like a man. The rest of the guys need to grow up....
