It’s sad how kids these days will grow up thinking OKC Melo was what he was. This made had 13 year stretch of averaging over 25 and was one of the greatest scorers of his generation. It shows how great he was that he was able to last 17 years in the league. Even with the stints in OKC/Houston, he averaging over 24/8 for his career.

Malaokauai Melo has shot 40% last two seasons. Harden has shot a little over 44%. For his career, Melo shoots about 45%. Harden still at 44. But, Harden shoots about 4 more threes per game, making him MUCH more efficient. While averaging twice as many assists over their careers and nearly two more free throws a game. In 17-18, Harden made 8.7 FT per game. Melo was at 1.9. So, basically, even if they are somewhat similar, Harden is an almost immeasurably more efficient player

I want to say something after watching Melo interview on first take. There are couple things that happened which I didn’t know about it at that time. Like Melo was saying, if he didn’t sign for nuggets. It could’ve been him, Lebron and Dwade playing for Miami instead of Bosh. If that happened, I don’t think Miami would have lost that 2011 final against Dallas. Cause say what you want about Melo, but he has that cold blooded closing out games in him. He would’ve came up clutch in that series.

I remember I was just amazed at Melo’s ability to score and he became my fav player and still is to this day. His game got me interested and invested in basketball. #FreeMelo
