in my own concept, I am looking for a mid bass driver, possibly 4-6" as this does not go deep enough for low frequency extension but will be adequate for 120-20khz, then add an independent sub for the final kill. I am thinking of enrichment of the mid bass with a passive radiator as in the AMT1. However, I always felt that combo was missing the sub frequencies... for me that was a deal breaker in the 90's but I cannot forget how wonderful the highs were. Any suggestions on xo point? I was thinking 1200 but that would be noticeable. I understand the amt's roll off around 800 but that's pushing it. Nice cabinet,

Hello, a 12" Woofer and Great Heil are not the best in a highend speakers, because a normal 12"woofer cannot cover frequency above 400-500Hz and Great Heil cannot reach that frequency without problems. It is better to have in addition a Midrange speaker in order to have best sound. Anyway Heil and 12"woofer is possible...you can see ESS AMT1 speakers as example. Thanks for question

@@PETERAMPLIFICATORI I have ESS AMT1B and why do you have to have a mid range with them, the subs that came with the AMT are made of urethane and are thicker twords the center and taper off at the edges to help the middle range. Super nice job on the speakers.
