I'm 67 years old, and never even heard of him until today. Isn't it funny how our culture has been inundated with all things Liberace, but this unparalleled, phenomenal pianist performer is almost "unknown".

Felicitaciones! Al magnífico pianista romántico y excepcional de Carmen Cavallaro (RIP) por sus excelentes arreglos de hermosas y nostálgicas melodías. Gracias! Por compartir esta bella grabación. Saludos y bendiciones desde México.
My all time American Song Book pianist of past years. My favorite record is a collaberation with Bing Crosby entitled I Can't Begin To Tell You and the flip side I Can't Believe That You're In Love With Me. My Dad was passing a music store when he heard the record. He promptly bought the record and brought it home gave it my Mother saying This is how I feel about you. If you have never heard these two numbers they are on you tube. My current favorite pianist is a San Franciscan named Peter Mintun. His rendition of Irving Berlins song. Say It Isn't So is a killer. Carmen rip.

Carmen Cavallaro (1913 -1989) From Wikipedia: Carmen Cavallaro was born in New York City, United States. Known as the “Poet of the Piano”, he showed a gift for music from age three, picking out tunes on a toy piano. His parents were encouraged to develop the child's musical talents and he studied classical piano in the United States. As a young pianist, he toured Europe, performing in many capitals. Cavallaro developed a piano-playing style of glittering and rippling arpeggios to augment his melody, which was often arranged in thick and lush triple- and quadruple-octave chords. His musical interests and arrangements included dance music, particularly Latin rhythms, tangos and strict tempo dancing styles, as well as some pop and jazz arrangements of classical melodies. In this, he is often cited as being influenced by pianist Eddy Duchin. Liberace was greatly influenced by both Cavallaro and Duchin. All three shared a propensity for arranging classical piano themes in a pop idiom.

O Apresentador japonês é muito chato; não sabe nem falar o nome do pianista .Ele insiste em falar Carmen Cavallero quando o correto é Carmen Cavallaro.Tirando o apresentador o talento do pianista è gigante,
