I use volume profile to help validate supply/demand zones. volume traded in a range seems more meaningful than time spent there.

I agree. Volume profile is tricky. You have to be careful choosing the range to apply it. But volume gives you exactly the bar you want. If the bar is too big you can gauge the price range just switching to LTF. @@carmine_rosato thanks for the video. I've been learning all this concepts piece by piece for a long time here and there all over the internet. I filtered a lot and now I'm practicing what I consider worthwile. I was surprised to see everything what I'm doing now in this video. It gives me hope that I'm on the right track. Thanks again and good luck.

Sound advice - Footprint charts - DOM - Supply and demand, POI and BOS as well as multi frame analysis seems to be solid . However order flow (neg/pos delta) is the trump card. Thanks for sharing

Honestly this is great stuff! I really don't think traders spend enough time truly understanding the way price actually moves in the market. Understanding the difference between aggressive and passive participation is so important and it's what truly gives you an edge when using tools like the footprint, DOM, VP, and maybe most importantly delta and the concepts that come with that. This is a fantastic explanation of how to put such tools to work for you. I recommend folks watch this a few times and keep watching this channel. Volume is king and Carmine does a great job at breaking it down!

Great video Carmine! For a reversal trade, after you see absorption combined with passive sellers, how long do you wait for confirmation(aggressive participants) before pulling the trigger? I feel like the move has already started when aggressive buying and selling starts to come in.

Good question and depends on risk tolerance / probabilities. Getting in as soon as its spotted will offer the SMALLEST risk but sacrificed for lower probabilities as confirmation is not the best. Waiting for aggressive participants to step in will offer HIGHER probabilities but risk will not be as small as mentioned above. However, this can still achieve 2:1 + R:R. Its a happy ground between the both

My experience I've been up just short of hitting my target and then reversed all the way back into a loss. I would just like to eliminate taking an extra loss that's not necessary. Sometimes I move it around 5 it comes back and stops me at break even then continues to play out the way it should and I'm Out of the trade Very frustrating.
