@@STREETMACHINETV I don't care how good you are, or how many times you have checked the car over. They always seem to have a gotcha like a ground wire not connected, or an alternator not plugged in. Yet people who are far less knowledgeable than you pretend like it started first go when there hadn't even primed the fuel pump. I am just so over BS at the moment, I am desperate for any content that is real. Thank you so much for keeping it real for us.

Scotty we used to just fit a VN throttle body with an adapter to make use of the kickdown cable. You probably have a freebie on the old engine you took out. She sounds like our old Terafi when she was M90.

Great work Scotty.. Loving the Trolvo and the Supermang.. I sold my daily driver 91 Soarer twin turbo earlier this year, even with high k's (244k) and needing some work - it still sold for 7k. You're not wrong that prices for anything old or interesting are way up..Must be quite a few people now who have disposable income and with travel off the cards, people are snapping up cars.

Have a look into running a VN VP 5lt th700 kickdown cable as they are longer then the V6 ones you might be able to wrap it around and mount it to the l67 throttle body and saves you buying a full manual valve body

At about 9:10 into the video just after you say "that's loud" you can see what looks like sparks but I think it's metal but something came out the bottom,watch under the front bumper at 9.10 of video.

Just did this swap myself VX manual ute into "top swap" you're right its all the small stuff that you need to get right that takes the longest "P.S, MSD coil packs also are a great upgrade" also what cam do you have in it again? next upgrade for me.

Instead reinventing the wheel, why not check the parts catalogue for a VS2 Calais Supermang? Should be closer to what you need instead of trying to make VX stuff fit.

VN ECU is only designed to batch fire the injectors, the L67 comes standard with full sequential injection, this seems like a step backwards, you would have been better using the original L67 engine wiring loom and adapting that to the VN body loom.

I was surprised to hear you say that you ordered parts through Mace engineering. I have had nothing but trouble from these suppliers. I have purchased parts on-line through them 3 times and every order has had issues. Missing parts, wrong parts and parts sent that were not ordered. With one on-line purchase i had waited over a week from placing the order and not having had any response, i rang them to see if it had been processed and was told my order had gone to spam mail. This company couldn't organise a root in a brothel My advice if you want the right parts on time is DO NOT USE MACE ENGINEERING THEY WILL STUFF YOU AROUND!!!

@@STREETMACHINETV still some bargains to be had here in Kiwi land but not for long....we are usually a way behind you fellas in that respect, and since Covid I have seen some bargains I know we’re there is a tidy hz ute roller with a racepac dash and Cert tag for small block chev for 5k...if I was not full up with my own projects I would grab it for sure, sometimes ones like that actually go back across to you guys. There is another bloke here with about 20 hq sitting on his farm asking 500 each as they sit but they are all pretty ruff.
