Block the 2 coolant ports on the top of the LIM (yellow O rings), either weld or tap and plug (1/4" NPT). Than you can remove the blower in the future without needing to drop the coolant. Whilst the heads are away, have them check the valve springs installed height, and full lift etc to make sure you have enough available valve lift for the cam as stock heads are only good for about .520" lift and your cam has much more.

I remember changing the head on the hj45 and the "replacement head" had 12 cracks in it before I got it half way out of the packaging. The skippy badged head I put on it 12 years ago is still doing it after some HUGE petrol radiator drama... The hj47 radiator has stopped the #4 pot combustion chamber from beading... The new heads will be good. So worth it!

Scotty mate you should have the mechanic's trolley set up with small plastic containers labeled so you have every important items taken off put in the right place, so that when it comes time to put everything back together you have not lost anything, my friend did this and had a 9 second White HR ute NO Plate was SWAN 01 and he built the engine himself, sure got everything from performance aftermarket items, but still done well and this was back in the 1980's? I told him to go auto from a top loader and he dropped a 1.5 second just from 4 speed to auto, also no turbo just straight out engine performance?

I called it from the announcement of this project that supermang would go superbang, its not that you did a bad job but those L67 are a base Buick motor which runs okay na but had many weak points which surface quickly when boost is added. There no barra and need alot of supporting mods to make and keep them happy but then again once road kill became country restricted carnage filled that slot quite well right down to the consistent problem but a bonus like mcm is aussie content. MMM last time I pulled a Commodore V6 with a cam and a broken chain it cracked the ring grove at the top of the piston. Scotty just pull the dented piston to check block in car. You have a hoist. High load and boost top rings never ever seize and take out chunks of piston. Do they?

Dont forget to regap the rings or you WILL rip the tops off . When you put the cooler in and the silicone bends you need to slide a metal bend inside the silicone pipes because they suck in under vacuum . My friend leon owns awesome auto in adelaide and is the gm guru on the v6 engines and knows all the ins and outs of all gm software and engines . Go ring him up for advice if you want . You really should have gone for a water to air cooler instead . The air to air suffers from heat soak . They put out good hp but do have trouble . Get intouch with zz performance in the states and try to get a set of their alloy heads if they still have them . Go hard or go home i say . You really should change the pistons because they are shit stock . I uesd engine tech ones from the states or go some je forged pistons but they are pricey though .
