Well done Scott on the 12s , Going by the video it needs more stall speed which will drop the 60s and will carry on down the track . You can here it also in the shift change that it drops to much rpm and its to much for the shift recovery to keep the rpm up where it needs to be .
@STREETMACHINETV2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, might look into that
@maxrockatanksyOG2 жыл бұрын
Do you guys ever drop the front swaybar off the torque side of the engine? I was told that by an old dude in the late 90's to that just to add a tad more traction (even did it with my GT500 swapped BF XR8- definitely made it hook a bit harder). In my old VR Buick V6 TT, i went with a 4.2 stroker kit out of the US, i had to upsize the turbos a bit as they ran outta puff, so you could possibly run more boost with the blower when needed.
@STREETMACHINETV2 жыл бұрын
Not yet, but might be worth a try
@tucker76312 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, could you install a higher RPM torque converter into the combo? It would help from creeping at the lights and improve 0-60 ft times.

Ill say it again port the supercharger,bigger elbow and tb. Big gains to be had. Going the 4.2 stroker wont nett much more. You will get way bigger gains with the sc mods if done correctly.

@@STREETMACHINETV Don't mace do all of that porting stuff? Also fill the silencer holes at the same time for maximum blower wine
@DodgyBrothersEngineering2 жыл бұрын
vr350 it has already been hacked now, there is only so much you can get out of a root style blower, they are the least efficient blower out there. Spinning them faster or modding the case will only ever produce minimal gains because they are a bad design to start with. All you wind up doing is creating more heat. You can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear.

@jeepnutscotty2 жыл бұрын
Some insulation around the ice box and feed/return lines would make the ice last a bit longer than a bare alloy shell exposed to the heat?? Or even a 2nd box slightly bigger around it filled with dry ice pellets would be my bet, then you can make then inner ice box say 40ltrs, saving weight but still have super effective cooling and ice lasting much longer… you’ve got a easy 70kg in that set-up when its full, basically carrying a small passenger every run
@STREETMACHINETV2 жыл бұрын
Yeah maybe we went too big. Dry ice is expensive though and it melts fast without a cooler box to store it. Dry ice can also make intakes too cold (yes there is such a thing) where condensation forms inside the intercooler and affects the intake air humidity
@jeepnutscotty2 жыл бұрын

Actually... A question - I ran my VX Berlina with the stock auto in "D", but with the 'power button' ON - Even with the foot to the floor, it shifted consistantly at 5500rpm. Considering its a STOCK transmission as I said, should I just accept that and keep running it in drive? Or should I attempt manual shifting it so I can go a bit higher in the RPM?
@danielveldman46902 жыл бұрын
i think their limter is 5700
@JonarusDraconius2 жыл бұрын
@@danielveldman4690 Well, pretty close to what I said then :P Deffinitely want to invest in some kind of torque converter though, so I can bring the staging RPM up a *bit* more (I was able to go to about 1900 before I started getting shuddering from the wheels). A 2000-2500 rated unit should be more than enough though, as I still want to keep her 'daily drivable'.
