It is SaraLa varase not SaraLi. SaraLa means simple in Kannada. Shri Purandara Dasa avaru gave us these patterns. However, your classes are very good & the way you teach with those visuals & graphs is superb.

Vinod Gowda There s no confusion..I think in Hindustani u learn the basics with raag shankarabharanam..which u will call as bilaval..so the notes are changed..but in carnatic we strt with mayamalavagowla raag,which in Hindustani called as Bhairav..Thats it.. Hope u got my explanation..☺️
