If the French had ruled over us we would have been given better rights because Britain didn't give us much rights and the revolts would never had happened in india and when the French revolution was over France became constitutional monarchy, again absolute monarchy (napoleon) and then later republic . Since the French revolution occured, France respects democracy. We would have been granted independence much earlier (assuming)or granted independence similar to other countries like algeria tunisia madagascar etc.So my point is that India would have been much better if India was under French colonial rule than Britain.

There might have been no Napoleon (since only due to bankruptcy reign of terror and in turn Napoleon rose) Even if those happened They might have had a chance in Napoleonic wars.... And Napoleon might have changed the entire course of history Civil rights might have been granted to Indian in par with French citizens

Lally was executed on his return but thanks to Voltaire (philosopher),who defended his name and military prowess, his name was cleared! Lallys were forced off their lands in Ireland and some fled to France. I lived in India 15 odd years ago. I hope like us you continue to fill in the gaps of your past. We had a land of plenty too but during 800 years of occupancy we suffered genocide war and oppression too. Most of our architecture was burnt to the ground by Cromwell. Piecing it together with the amnesia that comes with constant conflict topped with famine is not always easy. Unfortunately the victor fills in the blank pages of a history book. 🇮🇪🙏🇮🇳
